Cain rejected God's plan for his life, 00:10:17.539 --> 00:10:21.019 never repenting. and went on to influence others 00:10:21.019 --> 00:10:25.360 to also reject God. Joseph was cruelly sold into 00:10:25.360 --> 00:10:28.820 slavery by his brothers, imprisoned for years, 00:10:29.139 --> 00:10:31.759 and was freed only to be wrongly accused and 00:10:31.759 --> 00:10:35.019 returned to prison, to ultimately be made second 00:10:35.019 --> 00:10:38.700 in command to Pharaoh in Egypt, eventually sparing 00:10:38.700 --> 00:10:41.899 the region from famine and being reunited with 00:10:41.899 --> 00:10:45.919 his father and his brothers. Esther was essentially 00:10:45.919 --> 00:10:49.490 kidnapped. and forced into King Ashwaer's harem. 00:10:49.950 --> 00:10:52.509 Some scholars or commentators describe this as 00:10:52.509 --> 00:10:55.830 a form of sexual trafficking or abduction. These are excellent examples 00:12:12.159 --> 00:12:15.399 of what we may encounter and the choices we can 00:12:15.399 --> 00:12:19.059 make in our lives.
