While many people 00:09:18.470 --> 00:09:21.190 believe the Rapture will occur before the beginning 00:09:21.190 --> 00:09:23.610 of the seven years of tribulation recorded in 00:09:23.610 --> 00:09:26.230 the book of Revelation, this is actually the 00:09:26.230 --> 00:09:29.610 newest of all end -time positions regarding the 00:09:29.610 --> 00:09:33.350 Rapture, and in my opinion is a very dangerous 00:09:33.350 --> 00:09:36.769 deception. While Jesus made clear no man knows 00:09:36.769 --> 00:09:39.330 the date or the hour of his return, Jesus did 00:09:39.330 --> 00:09:43.129 instruct his followers to be alert, aware, and 00:09:43.129 --> 00:09:47.149 watching for the signs of his coming. Jesus instructs 00:09:47.149 --> 00:09:50.269 us to be watching for the signs so that we know 00:09:50.269 --> 00:09:55.049 what to do in response to the signs. Again, while 00:09:55.049 --> 00:09:57.950 no man can know the hour of Christ's return, 00:09:58.409 --> 00:10:01.190 Christ does encourage his followers to discern 00:10:01.190 --> 00:10:04.320 the times. This includes judging modern -day 00:10:04.320 --> 00:10:07.000 spoken prophecies by comparing them against the 00:10:07.000 --> 00:10:10.279 Holy Bible and watching for the fulfillment of 00:10:10.279 --> 00:10:13.620 the prophetic claims. All prophecy, just like 00:10:13.620 --> 00:10:17.240 all spirits, are to be tested and judged to know 00:10:17.240 --> 00:10:20.980 the origin, to know if it's based on truth or 00:10:20.980 --> 00:10:24.659 deception. Biblical prophecy, which is written 00:10:24.659 --> 00:10:28.879 prophecy or logos prophecy, provides forewarnings 00:10:28.879 --> 00:10:31.919 and insights for what's expected to take place 00:10:31.919 --> 00:10:35.519 in the distant future. Much of biblical prophecy 00:10:35.519 --> 00:10:38.080 has already been fulfilled, which is confirmed 00:10:38.080 --> 00:10:41.080 by history. For biblical prophecy that is yet 00:10:41.080 --> 00:10:44.820 to be fulfilled, the future predicted in those 00:10:44.820 --> 00:10:47.799 prophecies seem to be very much the times we 00:10:47.799 --> 00:10:52.100 are living in. Modern -day spoken or rama prophecies 00:10:52.100 --> 00:10:55.500 are also given to provide forewarnings and insights 00:10:55.500 --> 00:10:57.960 for events that are predicted to take place in 00:10:57.960 --> 00:11:01.080 the near future. As mentioned last 00:11:40.940 --> 00:11:44.059 week, if traditional Judaism is correct, and 00:11:44.059 --> 00:11:46.340 the Messiah must come before the Hebrew year 00:11:46.340 --> 00:11:50.879 6000. Since we are now in the Hebrew year 5786, 00:11:51.320 --> 00:11:54.139 we can expect Jesus to return within the next 00:11:54.139 --> 00:11:58.399 214 years once the other specific events of the 00:11:58.399 --> 00:12:02.299 end times are fulfilled. As I've already shared, 00:12:02.539 --> 00:12:05.519 the other events include a period of significant 00:12:05.519 --> 00:12:09.500 global upheaval, including moral decay, wars, 00:12:10.000 --> 00:12:13.100 and disasters, the preaching of the gospel worldwide, 00:12:13.309 --> 00:12:17.090 the rise of false messiahs, cataclysmic signs 00:12:17.090 --> 00:12:20.590 in the heavens, blood, fire, and darkness, and 00:12:20.590 --> 00:12:24.870 a final battle known as Armageddon. David Herzog, a modern -day 00:14:08.070 --> 00:14:10.549 trusted prophet, extensively wrote in his newest 00:14:10.549 --> 00:14:13.409 book on the timing of Christ's return with great 00:14:13.409 --> 00:14:16.049 concern that people who are expecting the rapture 00:14:16.049 --> 00:14:18.350 to occur before or during the middle of the Great 00:14:18.350 --> 00:14:21.909 Tribulation could be greatly upset that their 00:14:21.909 --> 00:14:25.610 doctrine does not come to pass, positioning them 00:14:25.610 --> 00:14:28.570 to potentially give up on Christianity and become 00:14:28.570 --> 00:14:32.809 part of the great falling away or apostasy the 00:14:32.809 --> 00:14:35.929 Bible also talks about. as being a characteristic 00:14:35.929 --> 00:14:39.649 of the End Times.
