I want to move now on to how 00:10:07.350 --> 00:10:10.990 this whole HIPAA awareness allowed you to become 00:10:10.990 --> 00:10:14.350 aware of the deception with what's known as the 00:10:14.350 --> 00:10:17.929 real ID in the United States. Let's talk about 00:10:17.929 --> 00:10:21.980 that now. Yeah, so I think real ID is in the 00:10:21.980 --> 00:10:24.059 news because the government is saying you can't 00:10:24.059 --> 00:10:26.519 fly without it, that sort of thing. That's a 00:10:26.519 --> 00:10:28.820 lie. I'll just start out right here. You can't 00:10:28.820 --> 00:10:32.240 fly is a lie. But I think the history of it is 00:10:32.240 --> 00:10:34.740 beneficial for people to understand and why we 00:10:34.740 --> 00:10:37.779 are where we are now, because this law for the 00:10:37.779 --> 00:10:42.759 real ID passed in 2005. It passed through the 00:10:42.759 --> 00:10:46.929 US Senate without a single hearing. It was just 00:10:46.929 --> 00:10:50.149 tacked onto a must -have defense spending bill 00:10:50.149 --> 00:10:53.710 and they never had a hearing, they never had 00:10:53.710 --> 00:10:57.549 a vote, they had nothing. It just appeared for 00:10:57.549 --> 00:11:00.549 the final vote on the defense spending bill. 00:11:00.789 --> 00:11:04.649 So it was put in there without proper vetting 00:11:04.649 --> 00:11:07.409 and without proper time for the American public 00:11:07.409 --> 00:11:11.149 to even understand what was happening. So that 00:11:11.149 --> 00:11:18.220 too was a bit of a deception. And what the law 00:11:18.220 --> 00:11:22.919 says is it's essentially telling the states that 00:11:22.919 --> 00:11:27.419 they need to change their driver's licensing 00:11:27.419 --> 00:11:32.750 system to now create a federal ID. So the real 00:11:32.750 --> 00:11:35.730 ID is not a state driver's license. It's not 00:11:35.730 --> 00:11:39.009 a state ID. It's not a state ID that simply or 00:11:39.009 --> 00:11:40.950 a state driver's license that simply has a star 00:11:40.950 --> 00:11:45.389 on it. It is a federal ID, a federal identification 00:11:45.389 --> 00:11:49.309 card for a national surveillance system. Well, 00:11:49.570 --> 00:11:53.129 when the states figure this out in 2007, 2008 00:11:53.129 --> 00:11:56.710 and 2009, they passed bills. A lot of states 00:11:56.710 --> 00:11:59.149 passed bills saying we are not going to do this 00:11:59.149 --> 00:12:02.470 because this violates our rights. This is an 00:12:02.470 --> 00:12:04.669 unfunded mandate. It's going to be extraordinarily 00:12:04.669 --> 00:12:08.450 expensive and it violates privacy rights because 00:12:08.450 --> 00:12:12.629 it's becoming a federal ID. And it's not just 00:12:12.629 --> 00:12:14.450 for flying. So you have to understand what the 00:12:14.450 --> 00:12:18.799 law says. The law says that under the definition 00:12:18.799 --> 00:12:22.460 section, there's a definition of official purposes. 00:12:22.559 --> 00:12:24.679 And so this is the official purposes for the 00:12:24.679 --> 00:12:27.840 Real ID. And so it says that the official purposes 00:12:27.840 --> 00:12:32.299 for the Real ID are for access to federal facilities, 00:12:33.299 --> 00:12:37.299 access to nuclear facilities, access to commercial 00:12:37.299 --> 00:12:42.960 flight. And then it adds these words, and for 00:12:42.960 --> 00:12:46.820 any other purposes that the secretary shall determine. 00:12:47.100 --> 00:12:51.919 So this is not limited to flight or federal buildings 00:12:51.919 --> 00:12:55.320 and nuclear facilities. Nope, the secretary all 00:12:55.320 --> 00:12:58.159 by him or herself without going back to Congress 00:12:58.159 --> 00:13:01.200 or back to the president. could decide things 00:13:01.200 --> 00:13:03.720 like, well, you need a real ID to buy a gun. 00:13:03.799 --> 00:13:06.480 You need a real ID to access medical care. You 00:13:06.480 --> 00:13:08.779 need a real ID to get married, to go to college, 00:13:08.940 --> 00:13:11.879 to rent a car, to rent a hotel room, to open 00:13:11.879 --> 00:13:14.899 a bank account. You know, this is what's happening 00:13:14.899 --> 00:13:18.740 with national IDs around the globe. These are 00:13:18.740 --> 00:13:20.759 the kind of things that they cannot do without 00:13:20.759 --> 00:13:23.799 their national ID. What's being created here 00:13:23.799 --> 00:13:27.590 is not only a federal ID, but a national. ID 00:13:27.590 --> 00:13:30.649 and this of course, you know We are a country 00:13:30.649 --> 00:13:33.370 of 50 states who limited the federal government 00:13:33.370 --> 00:13:35.590 into what they could do and put that into the 00:13:35.590 --> 00:13:38.110 Constitution and all the other rights in the 00:13:38.110 --> 00:13:40.409 Tenth Amendment It says all the other rights 00:13:40.409 --> 00:13:43.850 are accorded to the states and to the individuals 00:13:43.850 --> 00:13:46.789 Well, this is the federal government commandeering 00:13:46.789 --> 00:13:51.669 the states Getting them to pass laws to say We 00:13:51.669 --> 00:13:54.389 will conform with real ID. We will do whatever 00:13:54.389 --> 00:13:56.470 the federal government wants us to do. We will 00:13:56.470 --> 00:14:00.769 print federal ID cards. We will agree to not 00:14:00.769 --> 00:14:03.990 call them federal IDs. We will still have them 00:14:03.990 --> 00:14:06.509 look like a state ID. Essentially, the federal 00:14:06.509 --> 00:14:09.830 government hijacked the DMVs and the DMVs played 00:14:09.830 --> 00:14:12.350 along with it. And so now the American public 00:14:12.350 --> 00:14:14.769 thinks that what they have are state driver's 00:14:14.769 --> 00:14:19.250 licenses with a star. So, you know, in 2007, 00:14:19.370 --> 00:14:21.889 2008, 2009, all these states, you know, said 00:14:21.889 --> 00:14:25.809 no. And Real ID got stuck. And it got stuck for 00:14:25.809 --> 00:14:28.750 about nine years. And then President Obama, at 00:14:28.750 --> 00:14:33.470 the end of 2015, shouted from the rooftops that 00:14:33.470 --> 00:14:36.809 you will not be able to fly in 2016 if you don't 00:14:36.809 --> 00:14:40.049 have a Real ID. Well, this was the first time 00:14:40.049 --> 00:14:43.649 that the major media probably even knew this. 00:14:43.929 --> 00:14:46.730 Anyway, they picked up on it, they heralded it 00:14:46.730 --> 00:14:50.509 everywhere, and now you had constituents of state 00:14:50.509 --> 00:14:53.070 legislators contacting them and saying, fix this. 00:14:53.629 --> 00:14:56.429 I have summer homes, I have winter homes, I've 00:14:56.429 --> 00:14:58.149 got children, I've got grandchildren, I've got 00:14:58.149 --> 00:15:00.950 places to go, I've got vacations to take, I need 00:15:00.950 --> 00:15:03.970 to fly. So everybody just believed President 00:15:03.970 --> 00:15:07.289 Obama, and state legislators, nine years later, 00:15:07.830 --> 00:15:10.809 they just gave up. They gave up states' rights. 00:15:11.210 --> 00:15:13.809 They gave up individual rights. They gave up 00:15:13.809 --> 00:15:17.009 privacy rights. They didn't stand up like the 00:15:17.009 --> 00:15:22.289 legislators in 2007, 2008, and 2009. And so now 00:15:22.289 --> 00:15:27.590 here we are. So that was 2016 where 2016, 2017, 00:15:27.710 --> 00:15:31.429 and 2018 states all moved to conform with the 00:15:31.429 --> 00:15:34.389 federal government. They bowed to their constituents 00:15:34.389 --> 00:15:36.250 without telling their constituents that they 00:15:36.250 --> 00:15:39.370 were giving up their constitutional rights. And 00:15:39.370 --> 00:15:41.889 so now you have all the states who have agreed 00:15:41.889 --> 00:15:46.730 to conform with the Real ID Act, agreed to issue 00:15:46.730 --> 00:15:51.730 federal IDs under federal control. But COVID 00:15:51.730 --> 00:15:55.019 interrupted that a bit. They essentially pushed 00:15:55.019 --> 00:15:57.259 back deadlines. There's been probably about six 00:15:57.259 --> 00:15:59.659 or seven deadlines in total because people were 00:15:59.659 --> 00:16:02.879 just not getting the real ID and legislators 00:16:02.879 --> 00:16:05.080 were saying no to the real ID and states weren't 00:16:05.080 --> 00:16:07.460 ready to issue real IDs and they didn't have 00:16:07.460 --> 00:16:09.720 enough money for the new equipment. You know, 00:16:09.799 --> 00:16:12.899 thing after thing after thing caused delay. So 00:16:12.899 --> 00:16:16.720 now here is where we are. They said that on May 00:16:16.720 --> 00:16:19.360 7th of this year was the deadline to have a real 00:16:19.360 --> 00:16:24.000 ID or you wouldn't be able to fly. And that has 00:16:24.000 --> 00:16:28.820 always been a lie. So first and foremost, the 00:16:28.820 --> 00:16:31.620 TSA has 16 different identification cards that 00:16:31.620 --> 00:16:35.539 you can use to fly. Or maybe even before that, 00:16:35.580 --> 00:16:37.679 what you need to know is there's no law anywhere 00:16:37.679 --> 00:16:41.580 that says you need any kind of ID to fly. This 00:16:41.580 --> 00:16:44.600 is just something the FAA came up with, but it's 00:16:44.600 --> 00:16:47.620 not backed by a law. FAA is a regulatory agency. 00:16:48.340 --> 00:16:51.220 It's not. legislators. There's no law requiring 00:16:51.220 --> 00:16:54.539 you to have an ID.
