The 00:09:23.129 --> 00:09:26.309 way the text is dealing with Pharaoh and the 00:09:26.309 --> 00:09:29.789 way the text is dealing with the Egyptians is 00:09:29.789 --> 00:09:34.750 in the context of one who has been emotionally, 00:09:35.590 --> 00:09:40.570 physically, socially and spiritually abused. 00:09:40.970 --> 00:09:44.049 Are you hearing this, saints? I want 00:11:10.519 --> 00:11:13.200 you to understand Moses is going to use the narrative 00:11:13.200 --> 00:11:19.080 of Genesis 31 verse 22 He's going to use that 00:11:19.080 --> 00:11:23.340 narrative by using the exact words in Genesis 00:11:23.340 --> 00:11:30.659 31 verse 22 that was used when that was used 00:11:30.659 --> 00:11:36.659 when Jacob became free from 22 years of bondage 00:11:36.659 --> 00:11:43.159 under Laban. He was there for 22 years. Laban 00:11:43.159 --> 00:11:48.159 never paid him his correct wages. Deceived him. 00:11:48.919 --> 00:11:52.220 Laban was one of the most wicked men in the Bible 00:11:52.220 --> 00:11:56.200 because he was a master manipulator and controller. 00:11:56.559 --> 00:11:59.720 There are some of us who have been under control 00:11:59.720 --> 00:12:04.320 and manipulation, a form of witchcraft that God 00:12:04.320 --> 00:12:08.299 wants to break off of your life tonight. To be exactly the same language 00:12:20.779 --> 00:12:25.639 that is used in Genesis chapter 31 When Jacob 00:12:25.639 --> 00:12:30.279 was free from Laban, let's go to Genesis chapter 00:12:30.279 --> 00:12:33.799 31 for one moment I want you to see it in the 00:12:33.799 --> 00:12:38.700 Word of God. Hallelujah This chapter 31 and we 00:12:38.700 --> 00:12:44.429 are gonna look at verse 22. Hallelujah Genesis 00:12:44.429 --> 00:12:51.570 31, verse 22. It says, it was told Laban that 00:12:51.570 --> 00:12:55.669 on the third day Jacob had fled. Now I want you 00:12:55.669 --> 00:12:59.389 to understand, this was after 22 years of being 00:12:59.389 --> 00:13:02.570 under the bondage of Laban, his father -in -law, 00:13:02.789 --> 00:13:06.870 who also abused his daughters. He was such an 00:13:06.870 --> 00:13:10.529 abuser that he didn't even care. that the night 00:13:10.529 --> 00:13:14.190 that Rachel and Jacob should have been married, 00:13:14.570 --> 00:13:18.529 that he switched the girls and he humiliated 00:13:18.529 --> 00:13:22.669 Leah and ruined her life. But God chose Leah. 00:13:23.129 --> 00:13:26.149 God chose Leah and brought her into a redemption 00:13:26.149 --> 00:13:29.929 that she would be the mother of six of the tribes 00:13:29.929 --> 00:13:34.629 of Israel. Hallelujah. God has a way of redeeming 00:13:34.629 --> 00:13:40.309 our pain. Hallelujah. But For Rachel, this was 00:13:40.309 --> 00:13:44.350 also shocking and he didn't care because all 00:13:44.350 --> 00:13:48.210 he wanted to do was to keep Jacob longer. And 00:13:48.210 --> 00:13:53.549 he knew how to masterfully manipulate him into 00:13:53.549 --> 00:13:58.309 staying 14 years. That 14 years turned into 22 00:13:58.309 --> 00:14:02.470 years. Are you hearing me, saints? But God said 00:14:02.470 --> 00:14:07.090 to Jacob in a dream after 22 years, he said, 00:14:07.289 --> 00:14:11.230 I am the God of Bethel where you anointed the 00:14:11.230 --> 00:14:16.129 pillar and where you vowed a vow unto me. Arise 00:14:16.129 --> 00:14:20.929 now and get out from this land and return to 00:14:20.929 --> 00:14:25.110 the land of your kindred. Now I want you to see 00:14:25.110 --> 00:14:29.350 this is where verse 22 comes in. Verse 22 says, 00:14:29.690 --> 00:14:32.710 and it was told lay ban on the third day that 00:14:32.710 --> 00:14:36.899 Jacob was fled. Notice. at the Red Sea, the language 00:14:36.899 --> 00:14:41.620 that is used when Pharaoh realizes that children 00:14:41.620 --> 00:14:45.000 of Israel are not coming back. I hope you're 00:14:45.000 --> 00:14:49.460 hearing me. I said the same language that is 00:14:49.460 --> 00:14:54.799 used in Genesis 31 verse 22 is the very same 00:14:54.799 --> 00:14:59.759 language that is used when. Is this that children 00:14:59.759 --> 00:15:04.299 of Israel are not coming back? I want you to 00:15:04.299 --> 00:15:07.549 know. just before you're free. That serpent, 00:15:07.850 --> 00:15:11.330 that spirit is going to retaliate. And you better 00:15:11.330 --> 00:15:16.389 be ready to be strong enough to say, I'm not 00:15:16.389 --> 00:15:22.769 going back. Hallelujah. Notice the language. 00:15:22.870 --> 00:15:26.669 Notice it's the same wording. Looking at Exodus 00:15:26.669 --> 00:15:31.399 chapter 14, looking at verse five. You will see 00:15:31.399 --> 00:15:34.620 the same language that was in Genesis 31 verse 00:15:34.620 --> 00:15:38.679 22. Notice it was told Laban. Now watch this. 00:15:38.960 --> 00:15:43.039 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people 00:15:43.039 --> 00:15:47.240 had fled the same words that are used for Jacob. 00:15:47.600 --> 00:15:51.240 The Bible says it was told Laban that after three 00:15:51.240 --> 00:15:55.100 days, Jacob had noticed the same words turned 00:15:55.100 --> 00:15:57.500 to your neighbor and say that is done deliberately 00:15:57.500 --> 00:16:04.029 by Moses. Moses wants us to understand that we 00:16:04.029 --> 00:16:06.889 are not just dealing with Pharaoh coming after 00:16:06.889 --> 00:16:10.389 the children of Israel. It's a stronghold that 00:16:10.389 --> 00:16:17.470 wants to bring them back to Egypt. So we must 00:16:17.470 --> 00:16:20.929 understand that the Torah is using the same language 00:16:20.929 --> 00:16:25.690 for a reason, because the text as it cross connects 00:16:25.690 --> 00:16:33.049 Exodus 14 five. with Genesis 31 verse 22, just 00:16:33.049 --> 00:16:38.509 as Laban was going after. So Pharaoh was going 00:16:38.509 --> 00:16:41.950 after the children of Israel. He's using terror 00:16:41.950 --> 00:16:45.070 tactic tactics. Say this with me. The enemy is 00:16:45.070 --> 00:16:48.429 not going to use terror tactics to pull me back. 00:16:50.649 --> 00:16:54.950 Hallelujah. A trigger can either be a noun or 00:17:56.180 --> 00:18:02.130 a verb. Trigger is a noun. It's a mechanism that 00:18:02.130 --> 00:18:06.549 just goes off on a machine of some sort or on 00:18:06.549 --> 00:18:13.029 a weapon. But when a trigger is a verb, it requires 00:18:13.029 --> 00:18:16.670 action. It awakens something. And emotionally, 00:18:16.910 --> 00:18:20.809 when there are triggers in our own lives, it 00:18:20.809 --> 00:18:24.170 awakens something in our memory that we tried 00:18:24.170 --> 00:18:28.920 to shut up. and say didn't exist. Something that 00:18:28.920 --> 00:18:32.680 is so painful that some experience we were going 00:18:32.680 --> 00:18:36.000 through triggered it. Are you hearing me tonight? 00:18:39.119 --> 00:18:45.119 Sometimes a smell can trigger a memory. Sometimes 00:18:45.119 --> 00:18:50.500 an emotional response can trigger a memory. Sometimes 00:18:50.500 --> 00:18:54.130 what you see can trigger a memory. Something 00:18:54.130 --> 00:18:57.150 looks so familiar. You can't handle it. You just 00:18:57.150 --> 00:18:59.990 there's just a memory that just goes off. And 00:18:59.990 --> 00:19:03.230 then all of a sudden, the terror of that experience 00:19:03.230 --> 00:19:06.250 that you have put into your subconscious mind 00:19:06.250 --> 00:19:10.309 is now awakened in you. This can happen through through 00:19:15.809 --> 00:19:18.849 daily living, through things we have to deal 00:19:18.849 --> 00:19:22.240 with in life that were very difficult. that we 00:19:22.240 --> 00:19:26.660 are begging God not to happen again. But all 00:19:26.660 --> 00:19:30.390 of a sudden, it seems like replay. When we get 00:19:30.390 --> 00:19:33.950 around a certain situation, and when we're very 00:19:33.950 --> 00:19:37.430 sensitive, and when it's lodged into our memory, 00:19:37.769 --> 00:19:40.950 when there is something that happened that traumatized 00:19:40.950 --> 00:19:45.289 us, it goes into the sensory part of our memory 00:19:45.289 --> 00:19:48.450 where we felt something, where we saw something, 00:19:48.589 --> 00:19:53.029 and the emotions are then awakened so that the 00:19:53.029 --> 00:19:57.289 trigger brings back the trauma. I mean, 00:20:00.549 --> 00:20:04.569 this is really just a minute example, but there 00:20:04.569 --> 00:20:08.990 are some folks that are so sensitive and there's 00:20:08.990 --> 00:20:13.049 so many triggers inside of them that even a person 00:20:13.049 --> 00:20:15.890 will take something that's just a fluke as a 00:20:15.890 --> 00:20:20.349 rejection. Let's just say somebody was supposed 00:20:20.349 --> 00:20:22.869 to text somebody at a certain time in the morning 00:20:22.869 --> 00:20:26.519 and they didn't do it. Maybe the person forgot. 00:20:26.700 --> 00:20:30.440 Maybe the person's alarm didn't go off. A trigger went off in their 00:20:46.740 --> 00:20:53.210 brain. Somebody is abandoning me again.
