It was just 00:05:23.600 --> 00:05:26.240 in this season of like just real intimacy with 00:05:26.240 --> 00:05:28.819 the Lord. Maybe you've experienced that where, 00:05:29.279 --> 00:05:31.019 you know, you just say the name of Jesus and 00:05:31.019 --> 00:05:33.360 your heart's so tender and I was spending a lot 00:05:33.360 --> 00:05:36.879 of time in quiet and what I would call contemplative 00:05:36.879 --> 00:05:40.470 prayer, just kind of waiting on the Lord. And 00:05:40.470 --> 00:05:43.470 the Lord began to speak to me. And I remember 00:05:43.470 --> 00:05:45.750 I was working on the movie The Emperor's Club 00:05:45.750 --> 00:05:48.750 with Kevin Klein. And we were in a lot of different 00:05:48.750 --> 00:05:51.769 seminaries and universities around New York and 00:05:51.769 --> 00:05:54.529 cathedrals. And I would just, I just wanted to 00:05:54.529 --> 00:05:58.970 like steal away. another minute of like intimacy 00:05:58.970 --> 00:06:01.430 with Jesus just to go be with him and I'd go 00:06:01.430 --> 00:06:04.449 up on top of the building top in between takes 00:06:04.449 --> 00:06:09.350 and on my lunch break and for several months 00:06:09.350 --> 00:06:12.430 I just would go up on top of the building and 00:06:12.430 --> 00:06:15.269 I would go Lord here I am I just faithfully take 00:06:15.269 --> 00:06:18.769 watch with you today and this strange thing began 00:06:18.769 --> 00:06:22.870 to happen I began to weep over New York City 00:06:23.259 --> 00:06:26.660 And eventually what that turned into was hands 00:06:26.660 --> 00:06:29.259 lifted high up on top of the building, weeping 00:06:29.259 --> 00:06:33.040 over lower Manhattan. And this burden really 00:06:33.040 --> 00:06:37.019 began to grow within me that something was coming 00:06:37.019 --> 00:06:40.120 to New York and I couldn't quite put language 00:06:40.120 --> 00:06:43.519 to it. And, you know, if anyone out there is 00:06:43.519 --> 00:06:46.639 an intercessor type, praise a lot. You kind of 00:06:46.639 --> 00:06:48.660 know what I mean where you begin to bear the 00:06:48.660 --> 00:06:52.220 burdens of the Lord. And I actually asked the 00:06:52.220 --> 00:06:55.500 Lord this question one day. I said, Lord, and 00:06:55.500 --> 00:06:57.560 it was really the only language I could put to 00:06:57.560 --> 00:06:59.860 it. I said, Lord, our building's about to come 00:06:59.860 --> 00:07:04.279 down in Manhattan. And so I remember one day 00:07:04.279 --> 00:07:08.899 I was reporting for a job. It was. in Midtown 00:07:08.899 --> 00:07:12.319 Manhattan. And as I was going through this building, 00:07:12.639 --> 00:07:16.240 I could feel like I'm a feeler. And so, you know, 00:07:16.300 --> 00:07:18.420 I describe myself as a feeler, like a feeler 00:07:18.420 --> 00:07:20.600 discerner. And just as I was going through this 00:07:20.600 --> 00:07:22.699 building, you got to remember this was, you know, 00:07:23.149 --> 00:07:27.250 back in the late 90s, 2000s, obviously. And I got up on top of 00:07:53.000 --> 00:07:56.319 the building and we were shooting what they call 00:07:56.319 --> 00:07:59.300 the plate shots for the movie Spider -Man. It 00:07:59.300 --> 00:08:01.720 was the first Spider -Man movie. And we're up 00:08:01.720 --> 00:08:03.480 on top of the building with a crane and we're 00:08:03.480 --> 00:08:07.560 taking shots of the building. And it was where 00:08:07.560 --> 00:08:10.000 they would eventually, you know, with graphic 00:08:10.000 --> 00:08:12.620 design, put Spider -Man kind of going through. 00:08:13.540 --> 00:08:17.399 And anyway, I realized I was up on top of Trump 00:08:17.399 --> 00:08:20.600 Tower. And I'm looking down into Donald Trump's 00:08:20.600 --> 00:08:22.980 apartment and I know, and I'm not like trying 00:08:22.980 --> 00:08:25.959 to get political here whatsoever. At that time, 00:08:25.980 --> 00:08:28.860 he was a much different person than growing up 00:08:28.860 --> 00:08:31.980 in New York. He's since what I hear is had an 00:08:31.980 --> 00:08:34.740 encounter with the Lord. I was there that day 00:08:34.740 --> 00:08:37.379 and I just began to ask the Lord this question 00:08:37.379 --> 00:08:39.940 like, Lord, what are you doing in New York and 00:08:39.940 --> 00:08:42.799 what's coming? And began to pray and ask the 00:08:42.799 --> 00:08:45.120 Lord, are buildings going to come down in New 00:08:45.120 --> 00:08:47.299 York? And I know that sounds super strange anyway. 00:08:47.899 --> 00:08:51.299 I left, went home, and the Lord asked me to take 00:08:51.299 --> 00:08:53.019 a trip around the United States. In the film 00:08:53.019 --> 00:08:55.460 business, you can kind of jump around to different 00:08:55.460 --> 00:08:58.139 jobs and stuff. And I took this trip around the 00:08:58.139 --> 00:09:00.059 United States. I felt like the Lord wanted me 00:09:00.059 --> 00:09:03.639 to go, just go visit the different streams. Go 00:09:03.639 --> 00:09:06.940 visit the different denominations and the different 00:09:06.940 --> 00:09:10.100 hotspots of where God was moving around the United 00:09:10.100 --> 00:09:12.519 States. And I came back after this couple of 00:09:12.519 --> 00:09:16.259 month trip. And it was this scripture in Second Kings 00:09:49.649 --> 00:09:54.330 about how every stone came down, you know, it 00:09:54.330 --> 00:09:56.809 got lit on fire and there was nobody left. And I hit eject. That's what we're called to, and particularly 00:47:50.960 --> 00:47:55.460 in the context of Matthew 24 Mark 13. in Luke 00:47:55.460 --> 00:48:00.360 21, where Jesus himself talks about, you know, 00:48:00.679 --> 00:48:04.380 wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilence. 00:48:04.739 --> 00:48:07.679 He's talking about an hour in history where all 00:48:07.679 --> 00:48:10.360 of these things are unfolding, but in verse 13, 00:48:10.460 --> 00:48:13.739 I believe it is, He says with his own words that 00:48:13.739 --> 00:48:16.780 in the context of these things that there'll 00:48:16.780 --> 00:48:19.960 be a demonstration of the kingdom of God to every 00:48:19.960 --> 00:48:22.940 nation, to every people group. So we believe 00:48:22.940 --> 00:48:27.219 that it is again in Jesus's own words. that the 00:48:27.219 --> 00:48:30.059 great harvest, that the gospel will go forth 00:48:30.059 --> 00:48:32.579 to every nation in the context of crisis.
