Or was it harder because you felt the need 00:04:52.170 --> 00:04:55.990 that you had to expect a certain kind of behavior? 00:04:57.129 --> 00:04:59.889 So as at a young age, we moved away from I'm 00:04:59.889 --> 00:05:01.189 originally from North Carolina, we moved away 00:05:01.189 --> 00:05:03.790 to Florida where I spent most of my life. We found 00:05:06.850 --> 00:05:10.649 a church down there and, and my dad I come from 00:05:10.649 --> 00:05:12.430 a loving home, but he wasn't a Christian until 00:05:12.430 --> 00:05:17.069 we moved to Florida. And I would say when I actually 00:05:17.069 --> 00:05:22.110 met Jesus on a summer night in Windermere, Florida, 00:05:22.410 --> 00:05:25.310 it was easy for me because the spirit was moving. 00:05:25.550 --> 00:05:29.769 We had a missionary that was preaching as a guest 00:05:29.769 --> 00:05:33.550 preacher that night. So when he got done, I was 00:05:33.550 --> 00:05:36.089 amazed because I didn't know that there was anybody 00:05:36.089 --> 00:05:37.230 else in that church building, even though it 00:05:37.230 --> 00:05:39.290 was full. because the Holy Spirit was speaking 00:05:39.290 --> 00:05:42.230 directly to me. So the actual conversion, me 00:05:42.230 --> 00:05:45.569 meeting Jesus, it was easy. Now getting there, 00:05:46.089 --> 00:05:49.149 I had a fault. I fault a lot because I thought 00:05:49.149 --> 00:05:51.350 I was a good person. I'm a different person now, but most 00:05:55.810 --> 00:05:57.970 of my life I felt that I had what I needed. I 00:05:57.970 --> 00:06:00.069 didn't need to ask for help. But yeah, the actual 00:06:00.069 --> 00:06:03.230 conversion was very easy for me because You know 00:06:03.230 --> 00:06:05.990 when when the Holy Spirit starts moving you get 00:06:05.990 --> 00:06:08.129 that tingling that burning your heart starts 00:06:08.129 --> 00:06:12.329 racing I mean you move and anyone that doesn't 00:06:12.329 --> 00:06:16.949 I don't know how they wouldn't I Love that you 00:06:16.949 --> 00:06:20.709 have a specific date That you remember like some 00:06:20.709 --> 00:06:23.230 addicts remember the last day they used and some 00:06:23.230 --> 00:06:26.110 people I had a more gradual Coming to Jesus, 00:06:26.110 --> 00:06:28.449 you know getting to know him and then they don't 00:06:28.449 --> 00:06:31.009 have a date. So one of the hardest battles 00:06:34.279 --> 00:06:36.660 you've walked through was depression and even 00:06:36.660 --> 00:06:39.500 a suicide attempt, right? So can you take us 00:06:39.500 --> 00:06:41.459 back to that season? Like what was happening 00:06:41.459 --> 00:06:44.160 in your life and what led you to that breaking 00:06:44.160 --> 00:06:48.160 point? Well, you're looking from the outside 00:06:48.160 --> 00:06:50.279 in, you'll say, my goodness, I can't believe, 00:06:50.420 --> 00:06:53.339 you know, that even happened. I had recently 00:06:53.339 --> 00:06:57.180 built my house. I had a great job. I had friends, 00:06:57.480 --> 00:07:01.220 a loving family, but inside I was dying. My self 00:07:01.220 --> 00:07:04.459 -esteem was extremely low at that time, 27 years 00:07:04.459 --> 00:07:07.480 ago. I didn't feel like there was a future for 00:07:07.480 --> 00:07:10.519 me. I didn't have goals, you know? And when you 00:07:10.519 --> 00:07:14.740 lose hope, it only takes a split second for our 00:07:14.740 --> 00:07:18.019 enemy to say, I got something for you. And when 00:07:18.019 --> 00:07:21.720 you take it, it can literally destroy your life. 00:07:23.040 --> 00:07:25.959 I've never been one to ask for help. Okay, it was 00:08:09.199 --> 00:08:11.660 actually February February of 98 You'll hear 00:08:11.660 --> 00:08:14.040 you like dates. I love dates. It was pills. I had 00:11:26.230 --> 00:11:30.289 friends that I wouldn't ask for help come and 00:11:30.289 --> 00:11:33.549 ask me why I wouldn't. You know till still to 00:11:33.549 --> 00:11:35.509 this day. I can't answer why I wouldn't ask for 00:11:35.509 --> 00:11:37.690 help You know that our enemy has a way of trying 00:11:37.690 --> 00:11:40.929 to shame you into things to say You know, there's 00:11:40.929 --> 00:11:42.990 specific things even in our society today. You 00:11:42.990 --> 00:11:45.450 shouldn't talk about suicides one of them It's 00:11:45.450 --> 00:11:48.450 taken me 27 years. I mean now I'm sharing it 00:11:48.450 --> 00:11:50.600 publicly because this is You know, the Lord takes 00:11:50.600 --> 00:11:52.840 us through things in our lives, not necessarily 00:11:52.840 --> 00:11:55.919 to teach us something, but to help other people 00:11:55.919 --> 00:11:58.919 as well. 100%. You know, it's funny that you 00:11:58.919 --> 00:12:01.539 mentioned how isolated you were and alone, because 00:12:01.539 --> 00:12:03.659 that is the exact tactic that the enemy uses, 00:12:04.100 --> 00:12:06.919 is to isolate. It's like a lion seeking to whom 00:12:06.919 --> 00:12:10.120 he's going to consume, right? And so, he doesn't 00:12:10.120 --> 00:12:13.200 go after the middle of the herd, he isolates 00:12:13.200 --> 00:12:15.080 the weak ones on the edges, the ones that have 00:12:15.080 --> 00:12:17.440 already been wore down. because that's the ones 00:12:17.440 --> 00:12:20.700 he can get. I had a revelation on a fast after 00:12:20.700 --> 00:12:22.639 I had a fast my wife decided to do one and she 00:12:22.639 --> 00:12:24.759 did hers ten times less of the length that I 00:12:24.759 --> 00:12:27.240 did mine. I was flabbergasted by it and then 00:12:27.240 --> 00:12:29.860 the Lord revealed to me that a married couple 00:12:29.860 --> 00:12:32.899 is ten times or exponentially more powerful than 00:12:32.899 --> 00:12:34.840 a single person and that's why the devil tries 00:12:34.840 --> 00:12:38.159 to attack marriage so much because he needs to 00:12:38.159 --> 00:12:40.120 isolate you because he has no chance against 00:12:40.120 --> 00:12:42.179 you when you're strong. He has no chance against 00:12:42.179 --> 00:12:43.740 you when you're in the herd. Because I literally 00:14:02.440 --> 00:14:06.169 woke up at 430 in the morning. in 2016 and I 00:14:06.169 --> 00:14:08.830 was experiencing the law. I was actually seeing 00:14:08.830 --> 00:14:12.289 the vision being lost in my right eye because 00:14:12.289 --> 00:14:14.590 it was like a lightning storm and I went to the 00:14:14.590 --> 00:14:18.110 bathroom and I looked in the mirror and with 00:14:18.110 --> 00:14:20.309 both eyes I could see that I closed my left eye 00:14:20.309 --> 00:14:25.830 and it was black completely dark. So I mean yeah 00:14:25.830 --> 00:14:27.950 I mean I would love to say that yeah I mean I 00:14:27.950 --> 00:14:29.909 would I say oh okay Lord what are you doing now 00:14:29.909 --> 00:14:32.799 it was It was panic and it was fear. I thought 00:14:32.799 --> 00:14:35.840 I was having a stroke and I just lost vision 00:14:35.840 --> 00:14:38.279 in my right eye. So my, you know, my wife got 00:14:38.279 --> 00:14:41.980 up, we ran to the ER. We're in Tampa at the time 00:14:41.980 --> 00:14:46.240 now and ran to the ER.
