Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:00:01]: Excited to be here for the start of our 21 days of prayer. And you might notice it doesn't say fasting. We do fasting in the beginning of our year. We do 21 days where we ask people to abstain from something, whether it's food or whether it's a kind of food that we do, or sometimes it's electronics, all those kinds of things, but we don't say that. So this is 21 days of feasting, not fasting. But it's time really to shake off the cobwebs of summer. It's time to press into God, prepare for the finishing of the year. And so that we are kicking toward the goal stronger and not whimpering out into 20, 26. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:00:43]: And so, you know, when I came home from vacation last month, I almost missed an appointment because I don't know if you've ever set an appointment when you're someplace else besides Hawaii, that if you're not careful, sometimes it sets the appointment in the time where you are. And so when I came home, I was looking. I just think I didn't have an appointment. And so I almost kind of blew that off because it was in a weird time. And fortunately, I did see it before that time. But you know, what happens so often, I think, in the summers is that when we have a change of schedule, we do different things, that sometimes it's easy to miss the appointment, sometimes it's easy to miss that appointment with God. Sometimes it's easy to miss that devotional time or that time of prayer. And so when we come back before, as we head into the year now back into a normal schedule, whether it's like you have kids and getting them to school and picking them up and all those kinds of things in sports, or you're just, to be honest, you're not in that season. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:01:43]: But still, when summer hits, you know, you know, sometimes we're a little longer at the beach, we travel. It's a little different schedule, but it's time to press back into God, time to restart our routines. Now when we're together, I do want to kind of understand that maybe not everybody here, whether you're tuning in online or people who will join us in person, maybe you've never been to a 21 days of prayer. And you might be wondering, what do we do in 21 days of prayer? Guess what? We'll pray. But here's a little clue. There is a format. And so every time we gather together, we will open in worship. God is worthy of our worship. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:02:19]: Amen. And we want to be remembering who we're praying to, who we're trusting, right? Who we're surrendering to. And so we'll start with a worship. And generally it'll be one, maybe two songs. We'll then have a short time in the Word. And you might be wondering, I've had people ask me why, why is there a message before we pray? And part of the reason is Romans tells us that faith comes by hearing. And what? Hearing by the word of Christ or hearing by the word of God? And so sometimes when we hear the word that it stirs our faith, right? We can believe, just like if God did that back then, he can do that today. And so we're in that kind of a situation. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:03:02]: And then we'll break you guys up and we'll let you have a chance to go after God, pray for those things. Some of you will do that maybe on your own, if you like. And for some of you guys might partner together on a table and pray together with someone, either way is fine. And then in a few minutes before we close, we'll come together and we'll close corporately. And so whether it's like tonight it'll be myself or sometimes it'll be another pastor, another speaker who will do that. Sometimes we'll have a trade off. And then we're going to close corporately. And before we close corporately, often we'll be taking that opportunity to pray for text in prayer requests or prayer requests that are put up on the board, which I guess we didn't bring out yet today. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:03:49]: And so we'll have a time to pray for some of the needs that you're asking us to partner with you in prayer. And so that's kind of how that works in 21 days. And some of you might be wondering, what? Why do we pray for 21 days? Well, the story may be familiar to some of us in Daniel chapter 10, where Daniel, a man of God, has witnessed some amazing things, but disturbing things. Have you ever noticed, ever been in a place where it's amazing but a little disturbing? You know, when my baby was born, my kids were born, it was amazing, but little disturbing. But, you know, the thing is that in the middle of that, he's asking God for some clarity and some direction. And he starts praying and fasting for 21 days. And in verse 12 of chapter 10, the angel of the Lord appears to Daniel and he says to him, daniel, fear not, Daniel. For from the first day, let's say first day, right from the first day that you Set your heart to understand and humbled yourself before your God. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:04:49]: Your words have been heard now. He was heard in heaven the first day he prayed. When you pray, anytime you pray, God hears you. The moment you pray, Right? Isn't that good news? I'm encouraged that the moment I pray, God has heard and he says, your words have been heard and I have come because of your words. But then there's a but right here. There's not a but that's stated, but if we read it, the prince of the kingdom of persia withstood me 21 days. In other words, he was heard in heaven. But there was some kind of opposition, spiritual opposition, in this case. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:05:27]: But Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I was left there with the kings of Persia. And so sometimes you might be wondering maybe when you pray, have you ever wondered at times maybe there's a delay from when you ask to when you see the fulfillment of that, Right. So sometimes we're in that place, we're praying, we're praying, we're praying. And I'm guessing I'm not the only one that sometimes we get discouraged. Well, I've been praying for this for weeks. I've been praying this sometimes for years. But what happens is there is a spiritual opposition. There's sometimes an emotional opposition, sometimes there's a physical opposition. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:06:03]: Sometimes God is putting things together. And so we know that at times we need to pray for most things more than just once, right? It's like, well, I prayed for, you know, hey, prayed for, you know, my friend, salvation. Once it was good enough. I prayed one time. No, to. To be honest, we ought to keep praying. And so is the number 21amagic number that gets all your prayers answered by the end of the 21 days? No, it's not. It doesn't work that way. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:06:30]: But what we find is we have created a habit. What we find is that sometimes there are breakthroughs in that moment. I was just looking at some of my old devotional things and of previous prayer, 21 days of prayer. And there have been some times at 21 days of prayer, at the end of the 21 days of prayer, I've tried to reach out, trying to work through certain things, trying to get past some kind of opposition. And all of a sudden, man, I make the call. And somebody who never answers the phone, never responds to a text, never responds, like just dead silence, picks up the phone and says, yeah, we ought to get together, right? There's been times along those days that where it's in 21 days that things shift and move. Now, I'm guessing that if you're like me, there are things that you are praying for right now, right? That maybe you started in the beginning of the year, maybe you prayed before this year and it hasn't been answered yet. Some people, you know, that you're praying for to come to know the Lord or some open door that you need or some need to be met that maybe you're facing or some decision that you're confronted with. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:07:51]: If you're in that kind of a situation. 21 Days of Prayer is a great opportunity for you to press in. Now, I'm talking a little bit, maybe a little longer tonight than I might normally, just because we have a little bit of this introduction. But when we think about what do we need to do when we pray in our time, I wanted to address that this evening. And that's found in First Peter 5, verses 6 to 9. I'm reading out of the English Standard Version this evening. I'm just going to read this out loud and explain it a little bit because I think that as we're moving forward in our 21 days of prayer, these are good things to remember so that our prayers not are just heard in heaven. But opposition is shifted, and this is what it says. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:08:42]: He says it like this. Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. And be sober minded, be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour. Resist him firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of sufferings are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And so when we come to this 21 days of prayer, can I just ask you this in the beginning? Is that. Would you know that, would you have a goal? Would you have something that you're praying for? What is it? I do want to ask this. What is it that you're praying, praying for, right? For some of us it's like, man, I'm praying because I gotta reestablish my routine with God. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:09:33]: I kind of got out of the, you know, kind of got out of my groove, right? And for some of us, maybe if you're real honest, you haven't prayed lately, right? You haven't been praying or maybe haven't been meeting God. If that's you today. You know, Hosea 1012 says this. It says, sow righteousness for yourselves. Reap the fruit of unfailing Love. And it says this break up your unplowed ground. Can we just say this, break up your unplowed ground. You know, today I was taking my wife and my mother in law, we went down to the North Shore and you know, as we're driving, it's all these fields. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:10:14]: And my mother in law was asking, you know, what did they, Was some of this pineapple before? Was some of this sugar cane? I said, you know, different things, right? Outside Wahiawa, my hometown, right? We drank coffee out a place called Green World. I don't know if anybody wants to go. It's a nice place to go. They have great desserts. But as we're out there, yeah, that all used to be pineapple. And there's some now on the left, maybe not so much on the right. And then when we drive down a little further, you know, when you start going down that hill, all that used to be sugarcane. How many of us remember that? But like, to be honest, today there's some places where there's coffee that's being grown and a few other things, but there's a lot of those places that nothing is being grown. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:11:01]: The land is unproductive. And so what has to happen before you, before you harvest, you got to sow a seed, right? And so this is what it's saying. Sometimes there's places because we haven't been asking, because we haven't been contending, you got to break that ground up so you can plant the seed and it'll take root. And so to be honest, maybe 21 days helps you to break up that fallow ground. Because we're often praying about our greatest needs, our greatest pains and our greatest goals. So would you, in this 21 days, if you haven't thought about it already, think about what's your greatest needs, what's your greatest pains and what's your greatest goals, right? Because he says this. Sometimes we're looking for guidance or direction or looking for breakthrough or provision, or maybe we're praying for a loved one, right? We're interceding. Sometimes it's a health thing. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:12:02]: We're praying for healing. Maybe you're praying for healing for yourself, you know, every once in a while. Just talked to a brother yesterday, had some surgery and he's recovering. It's not a, you know, it's a long road, you know, like when, sometimes when you have these surgeries, talking to her brother and you know, like a shoulder surgery and he's looking good, but he says, I said, you're pain free. He said, oh, no way. You know, I'm not pain free. He said, look, do you mind if I pray for you? And to be honest, he wasn't really sure what that intended. I just want to pray for God to accelerate that healing in your shoulder, right? Sometimes we're praying for a physical ailment, sometimes we're praying for an emotional ailment, sometimes we're praying for a relational ailment, right? So. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:12:46]: And some goals, right? Because you have things you want to achieve, you have things you want to be advanced. So what does he say? He starts out in this passage, he says, humble yourselves, right? Humble yourselves before God. You know, it's very clear that in other places that God gives grace to the humble, but he opposes the proud. How many of us want God to oppose us? Absolutely nobody wants to be opposed by God, right? So, but here's the thing. If we're so proud, right? If we're so proud and we refuse to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, it becomes difficult for God to pour out that grace. So we humble ourselves. We recognize it's God who's the mighty one, right? It's God who has the answer. It's God who can change things. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:13:37]: It's God who is the one that hears every prayer. It's only contingent that I must pray, right? And so it's, and it's always a good idea. Humbling ourselves before God is not just saying, God, you're great and I'm not. It's making sure that we're seeking God's face before we're seeking God's hand, right? And making sure that we're connecting in our heart before him, right? That we want him because we just want him, just because he's our God. And then it says that in that point, then it becomes much easier to ask, becomes much easier to bring our requests before Him. And so he says, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God. Then he goes on and he says to be casting all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. And so he says, be sober minded. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:14:30]: Let's say be sober minded. Be sober minded. And what does that mean, be sober minded? It means being clear headed, being awake, right? We talked about it a little bit and actually sometimes in some of the translations it clearly is talking about not drinking any alcohol, right? Or any other kind of substance. And so it's in that moment that, you know, we come clearly and we approach ourselves before God. Now I'm not sure where you need to be, right, for some time. Even though to be honest, this is Not a fast fast that we're asking, but maybe for some of us there's something that you need to lay aside even for this time. Maybe it is alcohol, maybe it's something that you depend on. But dedicate yourself to the Lord. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:15:17]: Be sober minded. He says it like this in Hebrews 12, 4, because work at living in peace with everybody and work at living a holy life. In other words, a dedicated life. We dedicate ourselves to God because for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. I don't know if you've ever been in that place. You just don't see God, you just don't hear God. And part of it, to be honest, it's like when we're not dedicated, when I haven't, when something that wasn't God delivered me from somehow creeps back into my life, sometimes it becomes difficult to see the Lord. Sometimes it becomes difficult to hear the Lord. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:15:56]: So that's why we dedicate ourselves. We become sober and aware, become one watchful, right? And so it goes on. It goes on. And he says, why do we need to be this way? Because he says, you have an adversary, right? You have somebody that opposes you. You see, the devil, I think some of you think this is the devil is against like the guys who have like a giant ministry, right? The devil's against, like, like about the, against our country as a whole or whatever. And it's like. But you would be surprised, you would be shocked. I think that one day when we stand before God, that how the enemy targeted just regular, everyday believers. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:16:40]: You know why? Because if Jesus is living in you, you are the greatest danger to his kingdom, to his authority. Whether you share the gospel with your friend, whether you pray, pray for your family, whether you're praying for something to be advanced that God is wanting to do in your life and he's asking you to pray about these things, that he knows that those things will shake his kingdom. It will steal people's souls from his kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. And he doesn't want you to do it, right? And so remember, you do have an adversary. And so that's why we have to stand in the Lord's authority according to the word of God, right? And that we will live right, that we'll stand in the gospel of peace, that will stand in faith. We'll take up our faith and it'll be like a shield that will have the work of salvation to renew our mind. Yesterday, this weekend we talked a little bit about God's judgment and that there is a hell, right? That adjustment. And it's not the thing I love preaching the most, but it's the thing is that without speaking about that, to be honest, people won't know that we need at times to be saved, right? Because there will be a final judgment for each person. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:18:09]: And so we need to understand that sometimes that when you're saved, and that's why we took communion at the end, that reminds us that, you know what, like when we talk about that, I know for some of us, our conscience, you have a sensitive conscience, some of us. And your mind goes over and you're like, oh my gosh, am I gonna be able to stand? Right? Am I gonna be. And I know. So this is why we took communion, to remind ourselves. I gave myself to Jesus. His body was broken, his blood was shed. And it's enough. The cross is enough. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:18:47]: It was enough to save you when you were whatever size you were, whatever age you were. It's enough to sustain you. But we just have to hold on to him, right? And so we pray according to the word of God. And when we do these things, that's how we resist them. That's how we fight the good fight, right? That's how we fight our battles. We tell the Lord that, we tell the devil that the Lord rebuke you, right? So I'm not just picking up, you know, trying to poke the devil. I'm just saying that devil, get your hand off of this situation or to whatever the opposition would be, then just ask for what you need. Ask for what you need, right? You know, unless we ask God, God doesn't respond in that way often, right? So because it's a partnership, this thing about the kingdom is God is inviting us to partner with him in extending the kingdom. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:19:49]: You're a kingdom advancing person, right? You're a kingdom warrior. You're a son or you're a daughter of the living God. But you know what? But you're part of God's army. You. You're part of God's force that advances good and light in a world often that's filled with darkness. And so when you're praying for whatever it is that you're praying, that's a God honoring prayer, right? And is it God honoring for you to be able to provide for your family or for yourself? Yes, it is. Is it God honoring to try to resolve a relationship that may be strained? Yeah, absolutely. Right. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:20:28]: Is it honoring to God if some person whose body is wracked with disease is healed? I believe it is. Why? Because Jesus said I came to set the captives free, right? And proclaim the good news of the Lord's deliverance. And that's not just spiritual. Like, I go to heaven, that's the end, right? But sometimes people cannot live until something in them is touched, right? Physically, emotionally, as well as spiritually, right? Financially at times. So we're praying for these kinds of things. It honors God that you trust him. Your God is a big God. You know what my challenge to you is? If you serve a big God, would you pray big prayers in these next 21 days? Things that only God can do, right? Not just the things that it's gonna happen anyway. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:21:24]: Pray for the things that, you know only God can do, right? Why do I say that? Because then when it happens, who gets the glory, right? Then we'll know God gets the glory. It's him who answered our prayer. Hey, so that's all I have to share this evening. And so we're gonna give you guys about 20, 20 minutes to pray, whether on your own, maybe a little bit more than that. Maybe 22 minutes or so. If you wanted to partner together with somebody in prayer, feel absolutely free to do that. And, you know, to be honest, do what is feeling freedom to you? My encouragement, though, is that when you pray, would you. I want to encourage you, challenge you, whether you're at home or you're in the house, when you're praying, would you pray out loud? And when I say out loud, I mean, not like this. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:22:16]: This is not my normal talking voice, to be honest. I'm probably a little lower when I normally talk, right? I'm talking from up front, so I talk a little louder. But to say it verbally, it'll help you to be tracking the things that you're saying, even if you're saying it quietly. But say something, because there is something about the power but what we declare. And so now take that moment to do that. And then in about 22 minutes or so, I'll come up, we'll close together, and then we'll probably be praying for some other things. Okay? So let's go. And let's give our heart to God. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:27:18]: Sa Father, we're thankful that it's a precious thing when your sons and your daughters humble themselves under the mighty hand of the great king of kings and lord of Lords. Father, thank you. That when we recognize that you're our father and you're our king, you're our savior, you're the healer Lord, you're the returning king, that one day will come and set all things right. And judge the world. But Lord, we don't say it in a way of arrogance. We say it in a way of awe. Thank you that you came to make your enemies your friends and your family. Lord, we're thankful that we serve a God whose grace and mercy, Lord, can wipe away a lifetime of sin. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:45:56]: And Father, as we have humbled ourselves before you and we've been praying, Lord, some that we've been praying about our greatest. Our greatest pains, Lord, we've been praying about our greatest goals, Lord, we've been praying about those things that give us the greatest anxiety. And Father, I think some of us, we've been praying for things that have been so resistant that, Lord, we just confess we've stopped praying about them. Lord, sometimes it's a person's salvation, Lord, sometimes it's a door to open. And Father, we just confess we haven't been as faithful to pray as we should. But today, God, today we're starting afresh. Today, Lord, we brought them before the throne of grace. Father, today we're trusting you to bring the breakthrough in your timing. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:46:48]: Father, today we're praying for healing to be released in people's bodies. Father, Today we're praying, Lord, that you would open the door that no man can shut. And that, Lord, you would shut doors that no man can open. And Father, thank you. We just see it, Lord. It's a new season today, Father, a fresh season of new beginnings. God, we're thankful today. Day 1 of 21 days, Lord, we're dedicating ourselves. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:47:19]: And that, Lord, we will be watchful that, Lord, we will be dedicating ourselves to you, Lord, some of us, if you put your finger on something for us just to give up for these next 21 days, Lord, it's not because it's sin per se. It's for freedom's sake, Lord. It's for focus, Lord. It's to minimize the distractions. And Lord, we're just saying, God, would you lead us? Would you guide us today? Because, Lord, we have a spirit of expression, expectancy. Lord, I just feel this expectancy rising in the hearts of your people, Lord, not just simply for them as an individual, but for their families. Father for ministries, Father for our church, Father for the kingdom's sake. And Lord, I thank you that when we stand in authority, when we stand in authority, it's not because we stand claim the authority. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:48:20]: You started it, Lord. You said go. Therefore, because you have all authority in heaven and on earth. So go. So, Lord, we're going to go, Lord, we're going to stand. If you say we can stand, and if you say that we can speak against the enemy, if you say that we can extend the kingdom, Lord, if you say that, Lord, we can be a blessing. If you say we can make disciples, God, we can't thank you that you started it. And, God, we're going to walk in it today. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:48:56]: And, Father, so we also ask that, Lord, would you give us an awareness? God, sometimes we just haven't been aware, Lord. We're not aware when the enemy's opposing us. We're not aware at times when we're sensing these. These things. So we just pray, Lord, would you give us discernment today? If you're here this evening, just as you're moving forward in these next 21 days, would you just open your hand before God? God, we don't want to just go through another 21 days. We want to have your wisdom, God, we want to have your direction. God, we want to have your empowerment. Holy Spirit, come. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:49:36]: Come, Holy Spirit, in every home, Lord, in every heart that's been turned toward you today. Father, come. Lead us, guide us, direct us. Lord, we want to do your will, Father. We want to believe you and pray for bigger things than we've prayed for before. Because we serve a bigger God today. Father, Give us the lost, Father. Give us a deliverance, Father. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:50:06]: Give us new leaders, Father. Give us greater opportunities. Father, we're praying. Give us the prodigals. And that, Lord, give us the courage not just to ask you, but to extend our hand to people in all the stages of growth and sometimes rebellion, Lord, and sometimes of apathy, Lord, give us the boldness to believe you, Lord, to stand the ground together. Father, thank you. Advance your kingdom like no other God. Would you? We're just praying, God, would this be 20, 21 days that leads to 21 days of miracles? Lord, of breakthrough and open doors, God, we're trusting you. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:51:03]: If you agree with that, would you give the Lord some praise? Yes, Lord, we're praying that over our families, God, over our households, Lord, over our ministries, God, over our lives, God, over our destinies, Lord Jesus. Father, we're coming and partnering, Lord, with our friends, Lord, that Eva must high school, Lord. Thank you, Lord, that there is a new principal at the helm, a mighty man of God. And so, Lord, would you bless him and bless his family, Lord, Bless him in his new leadership role, Father, I pray that he would take the mantle that's been given to him. But, Lord, Zach, we prayed with a spirit of humility. But, Father, a spirit of Faith, Father, Give him wisdom that's beyond his years and what he's been doing. Father, we pray for continued health for baby Kinohi and Anela, Lord, in the kind of just this bonding time. Lord, we're thankful that Anela is getting some bonding time. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:52:03]: But, Father, we're praying. Would there just be continued strength poured out? Lord, sometimes we're not as young as we used to be. But, Father, we're just praying, Lord, would there be an acceleration of her restoration? Father, would there be that strengthening of Kinohi's immune system and all the functions that need to come on? We just say, Lord, in Jesus name. Would those genetic things just be turned on that needs to be turned on? Father, we're praying for a friend who's needing a kidney transplant. Father, we know that when we ask for something like this, it usually comes because someone sacrifices. Sometimes it's a family member that says, I am literally giving you a kidney. I'm literally giving you half of all the kidneys I have. Father, sometimes there's a sacrifice that happens in an accident and someone goes to be standing before you. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:53:08]: But, Father, we pray for this person, that whoever is the recipient, would there be a whisper that, lord, you're for them. Remind them, I know you. It's not too late. Father, we're praying, Lord, that if someone's heart is being turned. Father, would there be a man match? That this rises up soon? And, Father, would they get an approval in. In the whole, you know, kind of a hierarchy so that they can be approved themselves to be in that list? Father, and bring them that person, whether it's a family member or. Or someone outside the family. Father, would there be a match? We pray, restore this person's function and their capacity to embrace life and to follow. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:54:00]: Lord, your call. Father, we pray for a friend whose workload and stress don't seem balanced at the moment. But, Father, I know that balance is not simply a static thing where we stand at one point and we're perfectly still and things never change. But often when it comes to work and personal life and all that, it's like walking. Lord, it's an intentional. It's an intentional stress and strain on one part until the other part comes forward. Lord, it's just that none of us want to walk like a limp or just. Just putting the same leg forward all the time. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:54:48]: Lord, it's giving attention to work, it's giving attention to home. It's giving attention to health. It's giving attention to relationships. Lord, it's giving attention to finances. And giving attention to tasks. And Father, as we do that, there's a balance and there's forward motion. And I pray, Lord, for my friend that there would be that sense of a rhythm. I pray, Lord, that would he walk into that rhythm today. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:55:12]: Father, we're praying for our friend Jen, who's also going through a lot of transitions in this season. Father, we're asking that, Lord, that you would bring a guidance and a discernment for her. Lord, thank you. That, Lord, we're thankful that seasons change, Lord. We're thankful because it's a new opportunity when we say goodbye to something and something begins to feel fade or change. Lord, we're thankful that change is not bad, Lord, when it's you moving us into another season. So, Father, we pray for that perspective for her. Father, we are also praying for Evelyn's husband's funeral. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:55:56]: Lord, sometimes it's just hard. We say goodbye to the love of our life and Father, we ask for a comfort. Father, we pray that they would have a sense of saying goodbye and honoring a husband. They have shared life together. But Father, would there be a hand of healing over them? Lord, we're under no illusions when this funeral happens, it doesn't take away all the hurt. But Father, we know, but it also doesn't take away. Is your purpose and plans forever. Father, for the rest of their family, for their children, Father, I pray that she would know that maybe her husband hasn't been able to walk alongside with her. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:56:42]: But Lord, maybe he has handed her the baton. And Father, I pray that she would receive that. And Father, if there are children in this family, Father, would they rise up? Maybe they would know that dad, though he cannot be here physically, has done all that he could to pass on what he could. Father, would they take a hold of that and that? Lord, for those who don't have a father now, would they find a heavenly father and his comfort? Lord, sometimes coming in the form of an uncle and sometimes coming in the form of a family friend, Lord, that bring them healthy male role models into their life. People who could stand in dad's stead and help this next generation. Father, we're praying, Lord, that as they grieve, Lord, would they grieve with hope? We pray and Father, we're thankful that our beginning of our 21 days, God, we're starting to partner with our friends. Father, we're dedicating ourselves, but our eyes are focused on you guys. We love you. Pastor Glenn Yamaguchi [00:57:54]: We bless you. Father, would you extend your kingdom in us and through us in these next 21 days in Jesus name God's people say amen. Amen.
