Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the sheep Get Sheared podcast home with people, politics and popular culture. I'm your host, Austin. Great. I want to welcome you. To the show. So if you, you know. I've been in a very interesting mood this morning. Sometimes you ever wake up on a different side of the bed and. You just you feel as though. You're not more nihilistic mood. You know what's interesting about nihilism? Is the other day when I was in class. Among my professors, who was a who was a former judge. He discusses at length why he. Believes that Gen. Z my generation is so nihilistic when it comes to climate when it comes to politics, when it comes to social issues, and it was very interesting to hear about, to be honest with you, because the older generations, we like to think that they're so different than us. We're or we're so different from them. But you know what? When it is all boiled down, when everything that's fake synthetic. Inflated is stripped away. We're all just. Trying to do the best we can with the. Things we have. And the realization that it all boiled down to for me at the center of the Tootsie Roll or the the center of the Tootsie Pop is the old owl and the commercials used to say. The truth hurts. That's where it all comes down to. You have men like George Orwell talk about Big Brother. You have the series like the Matrix. You have these ideas from. Rene Descarte about the the the manipulating demon. If you've ever heard of that theory. We live in the same world and on the same plane of existence, but yet so many of us see and interpret reality differently. So in a sense, we all have a different, different interpretation of what we see. But that does not change what it is we actually see, for example. I could see a rainbow. You can maybe see the color blue, but you don't see all the other colors, but you don't. Even if you're looking at the rainbow. You don't see it as a rainbow per se, but I do. You see how I mean, that's not. The best analogy in the world. But when it comes down to it. The world is full of harsh realities and parse. Part of the people. Part of people is inherent in nature, in my opinion, is trying to do something about it. We all want to do something. We want to be a hero. We want to be the person that's gonna change the world. I mean, for God's sakes, look at the movies and almost every movie ever to the 90th percentile. All I see. We have to save the world. I want to save the world and we're going to save the world. That's that's exactly what everybody wants to do. When there's an old saying that he who has saved a single life, it is as though he has saved the entire world because he saved one person's world. My friends. The truth hurts. A lot of people like to be sold to dream. They like to be sold to fantasy. They like to be sold. The idea of you can have free this free, that love is what everyone needs. No one's gonna try to take advantage of you. The world is not a lonely place. It's supposed to be the community. There shouldn't be any poor people. You know all these things, they all sound great. The problem is we don't live in a world. That is fit for the things you're talking about. You cannot remove suffering from the planet because it is only through the fires of hell. That people are forged into gold or burn away like chaff and are blown away by the wind. And when you say things like the way I just said them, people tend to get defensive, they get unhappy and they want to argue against you. As if disproving one thing I said then punches. A hole through my entire argument, which is just not true. You know, I had a very great discussion with my best friend last night and it also provided to me with a very interesting, uncomfortable truth. That even that me, despite the fact that I think that I am ahead of the game on a lot of things. I don't know everything, and it also is come to my attention that it's often not what you say, but how you say something that matters. I mean, I've heard that before. It's something I. Kind of knew in the back of my head, but I. Always figured that I. Said things you know pretty decently. Articulate well, well meaning everything else, but unfortunately that's just not always true. And you never want to go out of your way to hurt people because at the end of the day, it's. Not worth your. Time in the 1st place. And secondly, my friends, I want to really adjust. Your perspective as mine is always adjusted because the truth is not just something you see once. And then never have to really look at in detail again, your life will change the circumstances within your life will change. The people will come and go in your life. And you need to be able to not. Fall for a fantasy. You need to be able to tell the truth. You need to be able to. See the tell tell signs of the truth. Now the whole field of philosophy is directed towards truth seeking. So it's not just something that you'll find and then never have to look for. Again, I wish that was true, but it's just not. That's not how it works, but you need to question everything that's told to you. I mean, I I didn't show yesterday about Trump and how people see Trump as this icon of oh. Ohh, he's so bad. He's so evil and all that, but then you gotta really ask. Wait a minute. Why do so many people want me to think he's bad? Just like for example. There are so many people today in America and around the world that don't like the Jewish people because of what's going on in the Middle East. Well, what they don't understand is. The Jewish people are the most Nobel prizes of any people in the world. #1 and #2. They're God's chosen people. And even though I'm not Jewish by by faith. My family is Hebrew ancestry and then I have see videos on TikTok about these social justice warriors denying entry of an older Jewish woman to a bathroom in a restaurant that she paid for a meal for. And the first thing that comes to my mind. Is what the Nazis did to the Jews with the the swimming pools. That's how it started, by the way. And then before you knew it, there were the the camps. My friends, the truth hurts. And so when if you think of the most painful possibility, it's. Probably the truth. Or the closest thing you'll find in the moment. And I know you don't want to hear that. You want me to tell you that the world is a great place, full of wonderful people who want the best for you. The problem is, there are very few, if anyone, who actually fits that description. And you can call me Sir. Nicole, you can call me unhappy, bitter or whatever you call me. Any name that makes you feel better cause the end of the day. That's what it's all about. You trying to make yourself feel better about what's going on in the world around you, whether it's your fault or not. And that's how we survive through life, quite frankly is. Living in a reality of our own interpretation and it's like living in a giant beehive and we all live in our own little cell. But we all are still part of the same hive. My friends, I don't want you to walk away from the show today being depressed. What I want you to walk away from the show is understanding that. If you feel hurt by the truth, if you feel hurt by circumstances in your life, it can only get better and I want to encourage you to continue the fight because it is. It is only through fire that real metals are forged. It is only through the hardest times in your life that you will actually accomplish something. For example, you want to know some harsh realities. I could tell them to you right now, #1. If you're a dude, no one cares about your problems #2. If you're ugly, people are going to assume that you're no good #3. If you are not part of the Democrat socialist machine that has taken over the Western world, you're going to be called every name under the sun. I'm a for. If you don't support women and everything that they say, you're going to be called a bad man. #5, if you're not with the rainbow agenda, you're going to be called a bigot. I mean, I could keep going if you want, but at the end of the. Day my friends. People have we are social creatures and thus people have the desire to be liked, loved, listened to, cared about. And I get. That the problem is that needs to come within. You need to attend your own garden. You need to be able to become self-sufficient. You need to be able to take care of yourself and in doing so you will free yourself from the shackles of depending upon someone else for your happiness, for your relief, and for your self satisfaction. That is not. To say that people are bad per se. But that is more to say that. You need to look within. It's very easy in our Western cultures to look outside. Say if I only consume this, buy that, listen to this, watch this person go to this place that I'll be happy, my problems will be solved. That's not true. The eastern spirituality has it right when it comes to what you must reflect within to find the answers to the problems that you face and to find the. Answers that you seek. Not the tough reality, but you gotta do. Work get the. Poor into yourself. The sad part is a lot of people are more than happy to pour into the people around them, but they will not use the same resources to pour into themselves to treat themselves right to care about themselves, to do something for themselves. As sad as it is to say that that's just the unfortunate reality, the question is, are you one of those people? Are you going to live in a fantasy of your own creation that's influenced by all the factors around you, or are you going to choose to take the tough dose of reality every day and live in a harsh world of reality? The harsh world of truth. That is up to you to decide. I will not make that choice for you, nor can I. My friends. To carry yourselves on this beautiful day, enjoy the Christmas season. I know I can be a little bit of a Grinch right now. I get that. Don't worry. I'll make it a little more cheerful as we get closer to Christmas. But I really want you to deal with the tough times before the good times come rolling my friends. God bless you. Now, but your families now bust America.
