Gemini Ultra is Google’s biggest MLLM, or Multidimensional Large Language Model. And according to the Medium, it “completely obliterates ChatGPT’s best model, GPT-4”. This is because Gemini has beaten GPT-4 in 30 of 32 benchmarks. These benchmarks test the models on a variety of subjects, ranging from STEM to humanities. 
While claiming that Gemini is better than ChatGPT’s newest model would technically be correct, it doesn’t paint the full picture. According to the blog post published by Google’s DeepMind outlining Gemini, Gemini Ultra was compared against GPT-4 in a variety of benchmarks and Gemini came out on top for most of them. However, it should be noted that there was only a difference of a few percentage points (at most!) between the two.
However, there is another reason why Gemini has recently found itself at the forefront of tech news. Of course, I am talking about the accusations that Google faked its Gemini demo. Accusations which Google has admitted are true.
