Do you 00:08:45.340 --> 00:08:48.019 remember when Jesus would speak to the Pharisees 00:08:48.019 --> 00:08:56.240 and they would try to get under his skin? And 00:10:33.059 --> 00:10:38.639 then there's what I call revitory intelligence. 00:10:42.029 --> 00:10:50.009 Revitory intelligence is simply this. It's the 00:10:50.009 --> 00:10:55.190 ability to understand the now and the future 00:10:55.190 --> 00:11:05.100 of God and interpret it to the present. Not many 00:11:05.100 --> 00:11:12.679 people can do that. But there is somebody who 00:11:12.679 --> 00:11:20.279 is in you who wants to give you that level of 00:11:20.279 --> 00:11:25.139 intelligence. His name is the Holy Spirit. And 00:11:25.139 --> 00:11:30.759 Jesus said, when the Holy Spirit comes, He will 00:11:30.759 --> 00:11:36.220 tell you and show you what is to come. He who 00:11:36.220 --> 00:11:44.889 was, He who is, and He who is to come. Now, How 00:11:44.889 --> 00:11:53.070 we know Him affects the transition of the church. 00:11:53.590 --> 00:11:57.889 See, let me give you a simple example. In the 00:11:57.889 --> 00:12:04.350 earth, there are priests and there's a high priest. 00:12:04.409 --> 00:12:11.779 But in heaven, there's a great high priest. a 00:12:11.779 --> 00:12:18.519 mega priest, an unusual priest. So a lot 00:15:26.009 --> 00:15:31.009 of Jewish things, as we would say, really were 00:15:31.009 --> 00:15:36.470 not there. Notice the terminology, Caesar I Philippi. 00:15:41.669 --> 00:15:49.850 Israel was heavily under Roman rule. Notice the 00:15:49.850 --> 00:15:56.950 term Caesar, Caesarea. Notice the terminology, 00:15:57.250 --> 00:16:12.679 as in Caesar. You good? Now, this is how they 00:16:12.679 --> 00:16:19.440 were. This is a very powerful truth. Their understanding 00:16:19.440 --> 00:16:27.460 of gods was that the gods were territorial. They 00:16:27.460 --> 00:16:35.299 had no concept of the Almighty. Like in Egyptian 00:16:35.299 --> 00:16:42.240 culture, there was the god of denial. The sun 00:16:42.240 --> 00:16:47.320 was a god. I better be careful. See, that's why 00:16:47.320 --> 00:16:57.019 in... That's how we got the day Sunday. It's 00:16:57.019 --> 00:17:08.279 all paganized. Monday was after the moon god. 00:17:12.420 --> 00:17:15.480 So the region what we're looking at is very important. 00:17:18.650 --> 00:17:23.690 So they came into this region where there were 00:17:23.690 --> 00:17:31.690 multiple statues of Roman gods. Back then, 00:17:45.579 --> 00:17:52.940 they had a choice of gods. Interesting thing, 00:17:55.559 --> 00:18:02.640 their gods were man -made. So Jesus said, visualize 00:18:02.640 --> 00:18:08.319 now, looking around, Zeus here, Look at all these 00:18:08.319 --> 00:18:15.599 gods and statues. I remember to a Jewish mind, 00:18:15.920 --> 00:18:21.039 he said, don't worship any what? Images. So you 00:18:21.039 --> 00:18:27.880 can imagine how a Jewish mind saw this. So he 00:18:27.880 --> 00:18:34.400 then said, who do you say that I am? Now please 00:18:34.400 --> 00:18:39.839 listen because this is powerful. Who do men say 00:18:39.839 --> 00:18:47.099 that I the Son of Man am? Mark that in your Bible. 00:18:47.619 --> 00:18:55.660 Mark it in your Bible. In Hebrew, the term Son 00:18:55.660 --> 00:19:04.309 of Man is code for the word Messiah.
