Hey guys, time for a coffe break in the Bible! “Heavy is the head that wears the crown.” Now I'm not talking about the song, although those of you who are familiar with it will have it stuck in your head for the rest of the day, you're welcom. This is actually an excerpt from King Henry IV by William Shakespeare Something I’ve noticed in my comings and goings lately is that there’s a bit of discontent in several areas for people. From the aches and pains at work to personal lives whether its in health, relationships, or spirit. You know there's just a lot going on. . We joke, we rib, we know what it is, but it’s still frustrating. Some of this interferes with our positions with work, and just leaves us in despair. There have been some fake it till you make it attitudes as well. Let's face it, it's fake. People can see through fake. If it's ingenuine people are going to notice. I thought about talking about King Solomon and reminding us all that this shall pass. Really Esther is more appropriate here. Esther tried to intercede for the Jews. She thought she did everything right, but things just did not go according to plan. She was ready to give up, and throw in the towel! But then she stepped back and looked at how she could adjust fire. She put her trust in God and went to work knowing she could and likely would die. I’m not saying anything in our lives is that drastic, but you get the point. To put it a simpler way, look at Esther 4:14, which states ”For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Keep in mind that you’re not where you are by mistake. The Lord has placed you where you are for such a time as this because you are the best person for the job. Sometimes the hand we’re dealt is just plain sucks. It's horrible. And when it happens we let the situation alter our thinking. We have that stinkin thinkin! It’s these times we need to step back, realize we're struggling, and evaluate: Identify the obstacle(s). Ask how do I change my thinking from negative to positive? Ask what have I learned from this so far? Ask how do I clear the slate and start to move forward, even if the situation doesn’t let me start fresh? Pray, adapt, and overcome! You have this! You’re prepared for this! It won’t rain all the time. And as much as we often look at the rain of our lives as a curse, it really is a blessing. Leviticus 26:4, the Bible says, “I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.” Rain brings cleansing to the earth and helps provide growth. It does the same for our soul. We’re all growing. Don’t lose your faith in the Almighty. Don't lose your faith in each other. And don't lose your faith in your yourself.
