They thought the physical 00:05:15.279 --> 00:05:18.220 things didn't matter. You could do whatever you 00:05:18.220 --> 00:05:21.660 wanted to in the flesh. And so they took lightly 00:05:21.660 --> 00:05:26.360 the spiritual aspect and took lightly taking 00:05:26.360 --> 00:05:29.500 God seriously in the physical realm. I was I had my Scoville Bible and some other 00:08:54.730 --> 00:08:59.789 notes that were a big thing and but I did not 00:08:59.789 --> 00:09:04.019 I Did not place a high value on repentance, I 00:09:04.019 --> 00:09:05.919 felt like that you could come to the Lord and 00:09:05.919 --> 00:09:10.460 trust him as your savior. And then later you 00:09:10.460 --> 00:09:12.340 could come to him and trust him as your Lord. 00:09:13.139 --> 00:09:16.399 And those two things were not sound, not biblically 00:09:16.399 --> 00:09:20.159 sound. And before I really come to trust him 00:09:20.159 --> 00:09:23.440 as Lord, I don't think I was saved. And what was their 00:10:02.279 --> 00:10:05.899 response? Their response was, Lord, haven't we 00:10:05.899 --> 00:10:08.539 done all these religious things? And we could 00:10:08.539 --> 00:10:11.120 say, haven't we taught Sunday school? Wasn't 00:10:11.120 --> 00:10:14.740 that faithful to church? Didn't I give some money 00:10:14.740 --> 00:10:19.019 on a regular basis for your work? And Jesus said, 00:10:19.200 --> 00:10:22.700 yes, you've done all these things.
