Braindead Breakfast of Champions I’ve had some positive feedback for my last tips and tricks podcast on how to overcome writer’s block. Today’s brainstorm came to be as I was preparing breakfast, the same exact meal I eat every day, by my cousin. We talk about fitness and nutrition relatively frequently, and his question today was, what should I eat for breakfast? Disclaimer: this is not diet advice. What works for me is incredibly easy to make, time and cost efficient, and overpowered for hitting my macros. Note: I subscribe to the belief that everyone eats around 3-10 different meals. I pretty much eat 1 breakfast, and 2 lunch varieties, so that when it’s dinner time, I can eat whatever is convenient for the family quality time. Ready for the secret? Protein. I found a protein bar brand I like. Boom, 20 grams of protein. I eat that every morning. Next, I found a protein powder I like. I drink coffee about 30-60 minutes after waking up. Pro tip: blend the protein powder (with a dash of creamer) into your coffee. I do 2 scoops. You can do one. Result: this will give you 50-75 grams of protein. My goal a day is to reach 200. I’m 1/3 of the way there by breakfast. After lunch I’m 75% done. Dinner is easy. This works for me because it saves me from decision fatigue, mental fatigue, and worrying about how will I meet my diet. If it serves you, give my podcast a 5 star review!
