This week, we are talking 00:01:48.189 --> 00:01:50.790 about the missing person case of Khoi’s Dang Vu. 00:01:51.370 --> 00:01:55.849 And this takes place in April of 2007 in Clark 00:01:55.849 --> 00:01:59.810 County, Washington. But first, a little bit about 00:01:59.810 --> 00:02:03.709 Khoi. Khoi Dang Vu was 25 years old in the spring 00:02:03.709 --> 00:02:08.349 of 2007. Khoi was born deaf and did not speak. 00:02:09.050 --> 00:02:11.509 He also lived with developmental disabilities. 00:02:12.569 --> 00:02:15.330 His family shared that he functioned at about 00:02:15.330 --> 00:02:18.650 a level of a 10 -year -old child. He knew some 00:02:18.650 --> 00:02:20.909 American Sign Language but was not fluent in 00:02:20.909 --> 00:02:24.530 it. Communication for Khoi wasn't always easy, 00:02:24.669 --> 00:02:27.669 but he was able to get his point across. If he 00:02:27.669 --> 00:02:29.849 was able to get a piece of paper, he would usually 00:02:29.849 --> 00:02:34.210 write to communicate. But still, Khoi was social. 00:02:34.590 --> 00:02:37.990 He was friendly. He was trusting in a way that 00:02:37.990 --> 00:02:40.629 was really beautiful, but also in a way that 00:02:40.629 --> 00:02:44.069 worried his family. On it, he had written a short introduction 00:02:52.610 --> 00:02:56.289 that said, Hi, my name is Khoi, and he would ask 00:02:56.289 --> 00:02:58.349 others to tell him something about themselves. 00:02:59.590 --> 00:03:02.310 His brother -in -law, Josh, says, quote, He was 00:03:02.310 --> 00:03:05.449 very friendly, very trusting, very happy. He 00:03:05.449 --> 00:03:08.289 would approach anyone. He'd walk up to you and 00:03:08.289 --> 00:03:12.129 hand you a note. Khoi loved basketball. He spent 00:03:12.129 --> 00:03:14.389 time at the local playground shooting hoops and 00:03:14.389 --> 00:03:17.129 riding his bike around the neighborhood. His 00:03:17.129 --> 00:03:20.650 bike was his main mode of transportation. He 00:03:20.650 --> 00:03:22.909 was known in the community. People recognized 00:03:22.909 --> 00:03:25.650 him, and many people knew how to interact with 00:03:25.650 --> 00:03:29.469 him and how to understand him. He lived at home 00:03:29.469 --> 00:03:33.669 with his family on Northwest 92nd Street in Orchards, 00:03:33.689 --> 00:03:37.180 Washington. He lived with his parents, his sister, 00:03:37.280 --> 00:03:40.020 and brother -in -law. The family had immigrated 00:03:40.020 --> 00:03:43.280 to the United States from Vietnam in 1990, building 00:03:43.280 --> 00:03:47.080 a life together. Khoi did not know any Vietnamese. 00:03:47.319 --> 00:03:51.759 He only could communicate in English. At 25, 00:03:52.139 --> 00:03:55.419 Khoi had brown eyes and black hair. He was around 00:03:55.419 --> 00:04:00.960 5 '6 and weighed about 108 pounds. And now, a 00:04:00.960 --> 00:04:07.770 timeline of events. Friday, April 6, 2007. So 00:04:07.770 --> 00:04:10.650 that Friday was normal, according to Khoi’s family. 00:04:11.590 --> 00:04:14.710 Khoi spent the evening in his mother's room, sitting 00:04:14.710 --> 00:04:18.490 with her, watching TV. The next day, the family 00:04:18.490 --> 00:04:21.250 had plans. They were going to drive to Seattle 00:04:21.250 --> 00:04:23.829 to visit Khoi’s older brother and celebrate his 00:04:23.829 --> 00:04:28.129 mom's 68th birthday. Khoi was very excited about 00:04:28.129 --> 00:04:31.410 the trip. At one point, he showed his mom the 00:04:31.410 --> 00:04:34.139 gift he had bought for her. He was proud of it, 00:04:34.199 --> 00:04:37.459 especially how well he had wrapped it. He was 00:04:37.459 --> 00:04:41.100 showing it off. His brother -in -law, Josh, says, 00:04:41.120 --> 00:04:43.680 quote, he seemed to be very excited about the 00:04:43.680 --> 00:04:47.060 trip. Sometime between midnight and 1 a .m., 00:04:47.060 --> 00:04:50.680 Khoi left his mother's room to go to bed. This 00:04:50.680 --> 00:04:54.560 would be the last time anyone saw him. So Saturday, 00:04:54.680 --> 00:04:59.180 April 7th, 2007. So like I said, sometime between 00:04:59.180 --> 00:05:02.310 midnight and 1 a .m., Khoi said goodnight. to 00:05:02.310 --> 00:05:06.269 his family and went to bed. Overnight, a storm 00:05:06.269 --> 00:05:09.329 moved through the area. It was a really bad storm. 00:05:09.470 --> 00:05:12.790 Lots of wind, rain, thunder. Conditions that 00:05:12.790 --> 00:05:15.050 would have made it difficult or even dangerous 00:05:15.050 --> 00:05:19.110 to be outside. The next morning, the family went 00:05:19.110 --> 00:05:22.569 to wake Khoi for the family trip. He wasn't in 00:05:22.569 --> 00:05:26.790 his room. At first, there was immediate confusion. 00:05:27.829 --> 00:05:31.810 Khoi had wandered off before. but only ever during 00:05:31.810 --> 00:05:35.709 the daytime and only ever in good weather. He 00:05:35.709 --> 00:05:38.529 often went on his bike, and he would always come 00:05:38.529 --> 00:05:42.209 home within a few hours. But this felt very different 00:05:42.209 --> 00:05:46.149 from the beginning. Khoi’s jacket, the one he 00:05:46.149 --> 00:05:49.430 always wore and his favorite jacket, was still 00:05:49.430 --> 00:05:52.910 hanging in the closet. His bicycle was still 00:05:52.910 --> 00:05:55.629 in the garage. The helmet was hanging with it. 00:05:56.790 --> 00:05:59.639 His brother -in -law, Josh, says, quote, The 00:05:59.639 --> 00:06:02.019 jacket he normally wears is hanging in his closet. 00:06:02.360 --> 00:06:04.519 His bike's still sitting in the garage and his 00:06:04.519 --> 00:06:07.100 helmet is still sitting there. It seems like 00:06:07.100 --> 00:06:09.639 he changed clothes sometime between going to 00:06:09.639 --> 00:06:14.160 bed and leaving the house. No one knows exactly 00:06:14.160 --> 00:06:17.660 what Khoi was wearing when he disappeared. There 00:06:17.660 --> 00:06:21.079 are no signs of forced entry to the home. By 00:06:21.079 --> 00:06:24.079 8 a .m., the family had called police to report 00:06:24.079 --> 00:06:28.279 him missing. When police are called, a search 00:06:28.279 --> 00:06:30.699 is launched almost immediately around the area 00:06:30.699 --> 00:06:34.000 of the home. It's truly believed at this point 00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:37.560 that Khoi had wandered off, even though it was 00:06:37.560 --> 00:06:39.939 unlike him to go in the middle of the night and 00:06:39.939 --> 00:06:42.939 to go in very bad weather. That didn't make sense 00:06:42.939 --> 00:06:45.740 to the family, but still, that was what police 00:06:45.740 --> 00:06:50.199 were operating under at first. So the first day, 00:06:50.279 --> 00:06:52.319 it appears that a search is done around the house, 00:06:52.379 --> 00:06:57.079 but no clues are found about Khoi. The next day, 00:06:57.199 --> 00:07:01.620 Sunday, April 8th, a large search began almost 00:07:01.620 --> 00:07:05.019 immediately at daybreak. Family, friends, local 00:07:05.019 --> 00:07:07.259 law enforcement agencies were all there to help 00:07:07.259 --> 00:07:10.899 cover area. Again, they focused on areas around 00:07:10.899 --> 00:07:14.500 the home. And they paid specific attention to 00:07:14.500 --> 00:07:18.120 areas where maybe somebody would hide or stay 00:07:18.120 --> 00:07:21.069 to... get out of the rain to stay dry or warm. 00:07:21.189 --> 00:07:23.930 So they focus on that, and they also ask the 00:07:23.930 --> 00:07:26.430 public to check their outbuildings and cars to 00:07:26.430 --> 00:07:29.170 see if Khoi maybe wandered into them to get out 00:07:29.170 --> 00:07:30.930 of the weather since it was so bad the night 00:07:30.930 --> 00:07:35.550 he disappeared. Still, after a full day of searching 00:07:35.550 --> 00:07:38.689 on Sunday, there's no evidence of what happened 00:07:38.689 --> 00:07:42.470 to Khoi, no sign of him. By Monday, April 9th, 00:07:42.470 --> 00:07:44.769 so this is three days that he's been missing, 00:07:45.069 --> 00:07:49.360 the search has expanded. The FBI joins the investigation 00:07:49.360 --> 00:07:53.139 officially. It's unclear exactly what prompts 00:07:53.139 --> 00:07:56.779 the FBI to join the investigation. According 00:07:56.779 --> 00:08:00.240 to police, the FBI offered their help and so 00:08:00.240 --> 00:08:05.019 they just accepted the extra manpower. Again, 00:08:05.079 --> 00:08:07.300 investigators stress to the public that they 00:08:07.300 --> 00:08:10.500 should check their own properties. In their backyard, 00:08:10.740 --> 00:08:14.019 sheds, outbuildings, parked cars, just to make 00:08:14.019 --> 00:08:18.050 sure that Khoi didn't wander into them. While 00:08:18.050 --> 00:08:20.430 investigators are working on searching different 00:08:20.430 --> 00:08:22.990 areas, Khoi’s family is working on getting his 00:08:22.990 --> 00:08:27.149 picture out there. So they pass out flyers, especially 00:08:27.149 --> 00:08:30.750 around Albertson's grocery stores. It was a place 00:08:30.750 --> 00:08:33.230 Khoi knew and a place that he was very familiar 00:08:33.230 --> 00:08:36.909 with. They believe that if he saw one, he would 00:08:36.909 --> 00:08:41.509 likely go to it and try to ask for help. Slowly, 00:08:41.669 --> 00:08:44.850 tips started coming in from the public. There 00:08:44.850 --> 00:08:46.809 were some possible sightings near an elementary 00:08:46.809 --> 00:08:49.350 school, but this didn't end up panning out, according 00:08:49.350 --> 00:08:53.070 to reports. There were also some reports of him 00:08:53.070 --> 00:08:55.769 in the greater Portland area. And again, police 00:08:55.769 --> 00:08:58.009 follow up, but they weren't able to verify if 00:08:58.009 --> 00:09:00.970 it's him. Police say, quote, there's nothing 00:09:00.970 --> 00:09:03.769 that indicates foul play at this point, but we 00:09:03.769 --> 00:09:06.929 won't rule it out. His family, however, is more 00:09:06.929 --> 00:09:09.690 and more concerned with each passing day. His 00:09:09.690 --> 00:09:11.970 brother -in -law, Josh, says, quote, we're trying 00:09:11.970 --> 00:09:14.659 to remain positive. It's difficult for the family 00:09:14.659 --> 00:09:17.159 because he needs help. He can't survive on his 00:09:17.159 --> 00:09:21.779 own. On Tuesday, April 10th, so this is four 00:09:21.779 --> 00:09:26.600 days now, the search continues. The FBI and local 00:09:26.600 --> 00:09:29.759 investigators began looking deeper, questioning 00:09:29.759 --> 00:09:33.639 registered sex offenders in the area. They also 00:09:33.639 --> 00:09:36.279 explored whether Khoi could have had any contact 00:09:36.279 --> 00:09:39.399 online. While his family had never taught him 00:09:39.399 --> 00:09:41.639 how to use a computer, there was one in the home, 00:09:41.679 --> 00:09:44.899 so it was an avenue they were looking at. Other 00:09:44.899 --> 00:09:47.600 teams sent divers into nearby ponds to search 00:09:47.600 --> 00:09:52.240 them. And still nothing. Sergeant Tim Bieber 00:09:52.240 --> 00:09:54.879 says, quote, It's certainly concerning that it's 00:09:54.879 --> 00:09:57.679 gone so long, with so many experienced investigators 00:09:57.679 --> 00:10:01.500 working on this. The next day, Wednesday, April 00:10:01.500 --> 00:10:05.860 11th, so five days now, no confirmed sightings. 00:10:06.350 --> 00:10:09.549 All of the tips seem to have dried up. Again, 00:10:09.750 --> 00:10:12.070 Sergeant Tim Bieber says, quote, it's day number 00:10:12.070 --> 00:10:14.929 five and we're very concerned. We're all waiting 00:10:14.929 --> 00:10:16.909 for the phone call saying, hey, we've got something 00:10:16.909 --> 00:10:21.429 big here. But the phone call never comes. The 00:10:21.429 --> 00:10:23.490 search continues for days after this, but the 00:10:23.490 --> 00:10:26.529 next real big development comes on Sunday, April 00:10:26.529 --> 00:10:29.769 22nd. So it's been 16 days that Khoi has been 00:10:29.769 --> 00:10:32.889 missing. And the family and investigators announced 00:10:32.889 --> 00:10:35.730 that there's now a $1 ,000 reward for information 00:10:35.730 --> 00:10:40.529 leading to Khoi. A few days after this, on Friday, 00:10:40.590 --> 00:10:44.750 April 27th, so 21 days, three weeks, Khoi has 00:10:44.750 --> 00:10:48.289 been missing, investigators officially reclassified 00:10:48.289 --> 00:10:51.750 the case as a criminal investigation. Sergeant 00:10:51.750 --> 00:10:54.470 Tim Bieber says, quote, if he just walked away 00:10:54.470 --> 00:10:57.149 and was just a missing person, he probably would 00:10:57.149 --> 00:10:59.929 have turned up by now. or some evidence of where 00:10:59.929 --> 00:11:03.049 he was at would have turned up by now. Police 00:11:03.049 --> 00:11:05.190 revealed that they were speaking to a person 00:11:05.190 --> 00:11:08.629 of interest, but they don't release a name. They 00:11:08.629 --> 00:11:11.049 also confirmed that all registered sex offenders 00:11:11.049 --> 00:11:13.870 within a two -mile radius of Khoi’s home had been 00:11:13.870 --> 00:11:18.149 ruled out. The next day, Saturday, April 28th, 00:11:18.149 --> 00:11:21.830 so 22 days Khoi has been missing, Police continue 00:11:21.830 --> 00:11:24.389 questioning this person of interest, but refuse 00:11:24.389 --> 00:11:27.809 to release a name or identity, or even to confirm 00:11:27.809 --> 00:11:30.250 if it's just one person or maybe multiple people 00:11:30.250 --> 00:11:33.269 that they're talking to. Again, police say, quote, 00:11:33.450 --> 00:11:35.850 After this amount of time, it looks more and 00:11:35.850 --> 00:11:37.750 more like there's something more to this case. 00:11:38.090 --> 00:11:40.230 There's definitely something wrong, and we have 00:11:40.230 --> 00:11:44.409 to assume it's criminal in nature. Khoi’s family, 00:11:44.730 --> 00:11:48.230 however, is left in limbo. The family says, quote, 00:11:48.350 --> 00:11:51.399 It's another stressor in life. It's good sometimes, 00:11:51.679 --> 00:11:54.460 and it's rough sometimes. We're all wondering, 00:11:54.700 --> 00:11:57.059 we're hoping, we're distraught and frustrated. 00:11:58.519 --> 00:12:03.100 In June of 2007, so two months Khoi has been missing, 00:12:03.320 --> 00:12:06.860 the reward was increased to $5 ,000, but still 00:12:06.860 --> 00:12:10.919 no real developments in the case. In January 00:12:10.919 --> 00:12:14.740 of 2008, so nine months Khoi has been missing, 00:12:15.200 --> 00:12:19.100 investigators began to say publicly what many 00:12:19.100 --> 00:12:22.620 had feared. that they believe Khoi Dang Vu was 00:12:22.620 --> 00:12:26.139 the victim of a homicide, even though they still 00:12:26.139 --> 00:12:30.019 have never found his body or any evidence. At 00:12:30.019 --> 00:12:32.899 some point, according to investigators in Clark 00:12:32.899 --> 00:12:35.779 County, detectives came to believe that Khoi's 00:12:35.779 --> 00:12:38.559 body may have been disposed of in a dumpster, 00:12:38.759 --> 00:12:42.360 one that was later taken to a landfill near Boardman, 00:12:42.460 --> 00:12:46.740 Oregon. How this information comes about in Khoi's 00:12:46.740 --> 00:12:49.919 case is never really made clear. by investigators 00:12:49.919 --> 00:12:53.159 or that I could find. And that's really the last 00:12:53.159 --> 00:12:56.379 update we get. Over the years, Khoi’s case has 00:12:56.379 --> 00:12:59.360 been in the media, but no real developments, 00:12:59.419 --> 00:13:03.100 no suspects have ever been named. And his body 00:13:03.100 --> 00:13:06.460 has never been found. So if you know anything 00:13:06.460 --> 00:13:10.200 about the disappearance of Khoi Dang Vu or his 00:13:10.200 --> 00:13:13.399 whereabouts today, please call the Clark County 00:13:13.399 --> 00:13:21.799 Sheriff's Office at 564 -397 - So that is the 00:13:21.799 --> 00:13:25.620 missing person case of Khoi Dang Vu. When I first 00:13:25.620 --> 00:13:28.899 discovered Khoi's case, I was really shocked 00:13:28.899 --> 00:13:34.200 about how little information there was, but at 00:13:34.200 --> 00:13:37.659 the same time how there seemed to be a lot of 00:13:37.659 --> 00:13:40.539 details in the case. So it kind of seemed like 00:13:40.539 --> 00:13:45.529 there was this kind of juxtaposition of... kind 00:13:45.529 --> 00:13:48.009 of this known answer of what happened to him 00:13:48.009 --> 00:13:50.649 but without having a lot of details around the 00:13:50.649 --> 00:13:56.389 case. So that's something that I was really confused 00:13:56.389 --> 00:13:59.230 by and wanted to try to sort out for myself which 00:13:59.230 --> 00:14:01.690 is why I really wanted to look into this case 00:14:01.690 --> 00:14:04.809 and then I knew it was a case that I wanted to 00:14:04.809 --> 00:14:07.309 bring to Cold and Missing. It fits right into 00:14:07.309 --> 00:14:11.789 all the other cases that we cover here. It is 00:14:11.789 --> 00:14:16.190 a more unique missing person case and that police 00:14:16.190 --> 00:14:19.889 do believe very firmly here that it is a homicide 00:14:19.889 --> 00:14:22.309 and even seem to have an idea of what happened, 00:14:22.409 --> 00:14:27.370 but no body and still is classified as a missing 00:14:27.370 --> 00:14:32.370 person case slash homicide case. Very interesting 00:14:32.370 --> 00:14:36.129 overall. And then, you know, hand in hand with 00:14:36.129 --> 00:14:38.610 wanting to know more about this case, it's just 00:14:38.610 --> 00:14:41.990 also the tragedy of this case for this family. 00:14:43.240 --> 00:14:46.220 Khoi was someone who needed his family and needed 00:14:46.220 --> 00:14:49.240 the support of his family to really thrive the 00:14:49.240 --> 00:14:53.639 way that he was. He was living such an incredible 00:14:53.639 --> 00:14:57.299 life, it seems like. He was involved in his community. 00:14:57.320 --> 00:15:00.600 He was out. He'd ride his bike all over the place, 00:15:00.799 --> 00:15:03.379 enjoyed meeting new people. And it seemed like 00:15:03.379 --> 00:15:05.919 the community kind of watched out for him and 00:15:05.919 --> 00:15:10.279 knew how to talk to him and, you know, understand 00:15:10.279 --> 00:15:14.389 him. So he was really in such a supportive place 00:15:14.389 --> 00:15:20.250 and seemed to be thriving. And because he was 00:15:20.250 --> 00:15:23.049 deaf and had developmental disabilities, the 00:15:23.049 --> 00:15:27.490 support of his family is so crucial in his ability 00:15:27.490 --> 00:15:32.289 to thrive and for him to be taken away from his 00:15:32.289 --> 00:15:34.470 family, from his support, from his community. 00:15:35.009 --> 00:15:41.159 It just seems cruel on such a level that feels 00:15:41.159 --> 00:15:47.360 um more rare it just it it really leaves me almost 00:15:47.360 --> 00:15:52.039 speechless it I'm having trouble finding words 00:15:52.039 --> 00:15:58.779 to describe how tragic and just evil it feels 00:15:58.779 --> 00:16:02.559 like that somebody would go after Khoi and create 00:16:02.559 --> 00:16:07.360 harm in his world it's yeah it really almost 00:16:07.360 --> 00:16:14.139 leaves me speechless quite truly. But it leaves 00:16:14.139 --> 00:16:17.720 me with a lot of questions as well. I mean, they have seasoned 00:16:53.960 --> 00:16:57.159 investigators. They have the FBI resources. They 00:16:57.159 --> 00:17:00.039 would have found some sign of what happened to 00:17:00.039 --> 00:17:04.859 him. But from my understanding, no evidence was 00:17:04.859 --> 00:17:09.069 found of. where he went I mean what direction 00:17:09.069 --> 00:17:11.890 he could have even gone in it doesn't even seem 00:17:11.890 --> 00:17:14.589 like we know how he got out of the house the 00:17:14.589 --> 00:17:18.289 only thing we really know is you know he goes 00:17:18.289 --> 00:17:22.230 to bed between midnight and 1 a .m it does seem 00:17:22.230 --> 00:17:24.710 like it's closer to maybe 1 a .m that's how it's 00:17:24.710 --> 00:17:28.190 initially reported in the beginning and then 00:17:28.190 --> 00:17:30.569 they go to wake him up at around 8 a .m and he's 00:17:30.569 --> 00:17:35.150 gone his brother -in -law says that it does seem 00:17:35.150 --> 00:17:39.119 like He had changed clothes, but we never know 00:17:39.119 --> 00:17:42.519 what kind of clothes he was wearing. So I'd be 00:17:42.519 --> 00:17:45.180 very curious if we ever determined that. Did 00:17:45.180 --> 00:17:47.480 they go through his closet and see, you know, 00:17:47.480 --> 00:17:50.519 was a shirt missing that he always wore? What 00:17:50.519 --> 00:17:53.440 was missing from his closet if he did change 00:17:53.440 --> 00:17:56.619 clothes? Were any clothes missing from his closet? 00:17:57.279 --> 00:18:00.359 There is some reports that it looked like his 00:18:00.359 --> 00:18:04.380 bed had not been slept in. I'd be curious if police 00:18:44.529 --> 00:18:48.710 were ever able to rule that person out, if that's 00:18:48.710 --> 00:18:50.970 still a person of interest in this case. I'd 00:18:50.970 --> 00:18:53.670 be curious if anybody else has popped up over 00:18:53.670 --> 00:18:58.619 the years, you know, since 2007, 2008. Has anybody 00:18:58.619 --> 00:19:01.920 else come across police radar that could be responsible 00:19:01.920 --> 00:19:07.720 for this? And then, to me, it seems like one 00:19:07.720 --> 00:19:10.440 of the biggest questions is the bombshell that 00:19:10.440 --> 00:19:12.720 comes right at the end of the timeline, that 00:19:12.720 --> 00:19:16.960 it is a homicide investigation and police believe 00:19:16.960 --> 00:19:22.240 that Khoi’s body was placed in a dumpster and 00:19:22.240 --> 00:19:26.430 ultimately taken to a landfill. I tried to look 00:19:26.430 --> 00:19:29.849 for reports of if this landfill had ever been 00:19:29.849 --> 00:19:33.809 searched, and I couldn't find any media reporting 00:19:33.809 --> 00:19:36.589 that police searched the landfill. It doesn't 00:19:36.589 --> 00:19:41.210 mean that it didn't happen, but from my understanding, 00:19:41.450 --> 00:19:45.009 landfill searches tend to be very difficult and 00:19:45.009 --> 00:19:48.289 require a lot of, like, police presence, just 00:19:48.289 --> 00:19:51.630 like a lot of manpower to make them happen and 00:19:51.630 --> 00:19:56.019 to make them effective. You know, it is reported 00:19:56.019 --> 00:19:58.380 on by the media just because such a large police 00:19:58.380 --> 00:20:01.400 presence. But I couldn't find any reporting that 00:20:01.400 --> 00:20:05.019 they had ever gone out there from 2007, 2008, 00:20:05.299 --> 00:20:09.579 2009 to search the landfill for Khoi. It seems 00:20:09.579 --> 00:20:12.140 like they go out there like there's a prisoner 00:20:12.140 --> 00:20:15.420 who escapes years later, like in the 2015, 2016 00:20:15.420 --> 00:20:19.420 times. So they search the landfill for him. But 00:20:19.420 --> 00:20:22.359 that's really the only. time I could find the 00:20:22.359 --> 00:20:25.140 landfill being searched. So I would be curious 00:20:25.140 --> 00:20:29.019 to know if that ever happened in Khoi’s case. 00:20:29.900 --> 00:20:33.720 But really, even before all of that, I would 00:20:33.720 --> 00:20:36.640 be curious to know exactly where that information 00:20:36.640 --> 00:20:41.460 came from. My 00:21:24.079 --> 00:21:28.099 hopes in this case, of course, my ultimate hope 00:21:28.099 --> 00:21:31.759 is that resources could be put towards Khoi’s 00:21:31.759 --> 00:21:34.420 case and they search the landfill. If that's 00:21:34.420 --> 00:21:38.000 where they think he is, then to me, I feel like 00:21:38.000 --> 00:21:41.950 let's put the resources to... bringing him home. 00:21:42.049 --> 00:21:44.289 Let's get him out of there and get him to his 00:21:44.289 --> 00:21:48.069 family and a place to rest. If we have an idea of where 00:22:25.230 --> 00:22:29.349 he's at, that that's what we do.
